You need to realize that control is a corridor type of game while fortnite is open world/sandbox. With rt set to max. Like I said before they will need to tone it down.Well Fortnite must extremely poorly optimised because a game like Control at 4K with Raytracing on gets far more FPS than 13 so you're using a poor example, also who would play a competitive shooter with Raytracing on when FPS means everything.

To further compound the situation a 3090 will not get you 4k 60 in cb2077 either.

You have been marketed.
Very true.Control is the go to game for Nvidia fanboys though. It's constantly referred to because the coding is so one sided. AMD does not perform well even without RT which means the devs are using other 'tech' that favours Nvidia. The days of Gameworks and Physx are still not over sadly.
CDPR asked Tomshardware to take down that article as it’s not representative of final performance. You need to realize that control is a corridor type of game while fortnite is open world/sandbox. With rt set to max. Like I said before they will need to tone it down.
To further compound the situation a 3090 will not get you 4k60 in cb2077 either with max non rt setting. Lets see what day one patch brings for both cards but I won't hold my breath.

hence why the passed it onto an actual retailer. And guess what? It just works.
get back to your echo chamber son.
They passed their own shop to a retailer?
Isn’t that the same thing with AMD fanboys though? Unoptimised games like AC Valhalla and Godfall are touted to proclaim AMD superiority over NVIDIA.Control is the go to game for Nvidia fanboys though. In the U.S only, bestbuy is handling FE orders.
so basically
Vr: the broken on amddon't care
Dlss: non existent on amddon't care
Ray tracing: bad performance on amdnot buying for RT
Rendering: bad performance on amd - not seen any proof of this
Ray Traced rendering: broken on amd and bad performancenot interested in RT
These things all add up
Everyone is different but...
Recovering mindshare, one customer at the time.
Here's a top tip for you AMD.
Make a decent website for a start if you want to sell items.
Or pass it to a actual retailer that can do the job, because you bloody well cant.
...
Didn't Nvidia complely **** up the sales of their Founders edition cards and start selling them through 3rd parties?
Yes, best buy for the u.s.
And if you enable ray traced rendering, the 6900xt like all RDNA 2 cards produces a very noisy image that can't then be used for any commercial purposes - any ray traced rendering looks like it's got the worst film grain known to man.
if you don't like Linus, you can also check out OptimumTech's channel as he also benches rendering because it's something he uses to make his youtube content and he flat out said he would not recommend the 6900xt/6800xt for rendering.
That was a comparison of pro render vs Blender cycles. Noise can be removed by cranking up the number of samples or using the denoising node in blenders compositor. I'm pretty certain i told you this when you brought this up with the 6800.
There is a known issue with AMDs OpenCL compiler that increases the render time for AMD GPUs. If AMD can get this sorted it would drop their render times.
The speed of AMD GPUs in rendering does seem to be scene dependent, so your statement about the 6900xt only being as fast as a 3060ti is false.
Thought so, bit of a blinkered view on his part then.
