OcUK RX6900XT review thread

In conclusion looking back at all 3 cards , AMD has gotten their prices completely wrong.
You could argue the 6800xt is priced correctly but the 6800 and 6900xt are just wrong.
The 6800XT is currently priced higher than the RTX 3080 in Europe, so it is most certainly not priced correctly.

Let's not use anything as RT in current state is nothing but a gimmick and marketing feature for morons who have too much money and don't know what to do with it.
Your sentence even doesn't make any sense as all cards now have RT.

I said you could argue.
The rep of the 6800xt is ~€660 by the way.lets not cherry pick prices for comparison in a market that has no stock though. Especially when I already said I thought all the prices were wrong BUT an argument could be made for the 6800xt being correct or close to correct....

You can argue the sun is green too, I guess. The street prices are the real-world prices and they are currently higher than the 3080. MSRP means jack **** at the moment.

Again you've cherry picked what you think a 3080 cost and again you even fail to understand my post and reply with an attitude as if I'm saying the prices are great.

I am talking about the average pricing of the 6800XT vs 3080 AIB cards... there is no cherry picking as I have zero reason to do that. But anyway lets agree to disagree, no need to discuss it any further.

It looks like the hype train has derailed with numerous AMD fans casualties

Who is going to pay this much for an AMD GPU:confused:, it shouldn't cost more than $550 (MSRP) if AMD wants to be competitive. Price/performance in not everything when it comes to gpu's, nvidia have more features, stronger performance in less popular titles compared to equivalent AMD card. And also It just works (You know that when you buy nvidia GPU you will have a hassle free experience).

Such utter nonsense in one post.

I am disagreeing with the 6800XT being well priced and your accusation of the cherry picking. Anyway yeah, this is getting a bit silly from an intellectual perspective so lets leave it there. :)
When u take into consideration price on amd direct shop it looks completely fairly priced. I don't quite get why ppls use the FE model MSRP when comparing but at same time use retail price of amd MBA cards

I think he was being sarcastic as AMD don't have a RT showcase to compare Ampere and RDNA2 with. People are complaining that the RT titles tested so far are all using Nvidia's black magic, which in turn kills AMD performance. Even though it's just Microsoft's DXR.

If a game is developed to use DX11 or X12 why does it need day one drivers or optimizations to run better? its just microsoft DX after all......

I always wonder if Nvidia paid someone to write this type of comments actually.
They actually had paid people to write on various forums and reddit in the past.

Anyhow, atm demand outruns supply by far and as the amd radeon is faster than 3080 and 3090 it seems price are fair.
why by a slower card for your gaming needs like nvidia?
Most may not know but around 85% of all pc players plays at 1080p and 1440p.

I think the MSRP of the 6800 is fair. £600 is too much though, IMO.

I think the trouble with MSRP is that it left too little margin for retailers, and so was never going to last long. If the retailers are paying AMD and Nvidia near enough full price for each card, then how do they make any profit?
