*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

It's a shame ocuk is taking so long to process anything, I just had to cancel my power supply order and get it somewhere else, but keeping my 3080 pre order tho

Hi Guys, forgive me if this is not the right place to ask, but how do you guys know your place in the queue?

I placed my order for a complete new PC including a gigabyte 3080 on the 9th of Nov. I was informed that I would receive weekly updates as to my place in the Q. I've not received one notification in all that time. I tried the the call centre but after 1:40mins with no response, I had to get back to work. After having 2.7K taken from my account and nothing to show other than than the e-receipt and no correspondence updates, I'm left a little worried.

Appreciate these are difficult times and everyone at OC must be working flat out, just would be nice to know like the rest of you where I am in the queue. Regards Crusty.

Post in the OCUK Customer Service section and they can check, will be a bit of delay in getting back to you but easier than sitting on the phone.

Is that from a day 1 order? I started at 792 for a gaming x trio bought on launch day (now 325). Considering the website was inaccessible for much of that afternoon it's unbelievable that so many were sold in just a few hours.
I ordered quite late, like 13th of October,
I knew I would be waiting but didn’t realising it would still be this bad

Morning all.

Was position 1800 for a Tuf here. A competitor briefly allowed preorder of Palit 3080s, with zero queue a while back. Took a gamble, was position 30 in that queue.

Card (Palit) arrived start of this week. Very happy with it. I'd definitely suggest people keep an eye open elsewhere if they're in a rush.

Also, consider undervolting. Stock, card was pulling 330w, gaming or synthetic load. Gave it a slight under volt, now pulls 250w synthetic, and 230w gaming.

Stock, it was bouncing around, 1950mhz for a while, then would drop off to 1850 before heading back up to 1950 mhz (boosting to 1.1v). With the undervolt it's locked in at 1925, which actually gives the undervolted card a 1/2fps advantage during benchmarks. 0.85v and 1925mhz seems to be the sweet spot. Stable in games with rtx on and dlss too.

https://youtu.be/sClh4270yg0 A good guide for first timers.

If it helps to understand a little I ordered at 14:24 on release day (17th sep, was trying to get on the site before 14:00!) and i started at 40th in the queue for a Rog Strix OC 3080, im now 8th!

What's the purpose of undervolting? Does it lower temps down whilst keeping performance?

I don't know why he wants to undervolt. I personay wouldn't undervolt. The cards generally run at good temps.
So unless they have a power supply issue or are worried that the card will crash to desktop like the launch even though that was patched out. I've no idea.
