Lower your mask

Don't ever change at embankment from district to circle unless you fancy a ten min walk.
They're the same tunnels. Literally use the same platforms. Changing at embankment is very quick even to the northern line so long as you know your way around the station.

I got my first American Facebook friend about 3 months ago because he ran a fan page dedicated to the band GHOST.
This meant I started to see his posts with all his other American friends and let's say they are in a different league of tin foil hat wearers than the Brits.
I blocked him yesterday because I couldn't take any more of the craziness.

This means I agree with JeanF because nothing surprises me what they do.
I'd also like to say that I have never thought of JeanF making stuff up, in fact the opposite.

Thought of putting this in Cuisine, but I think that it may be more suited to GD.
I’ve been emailing back and forth with friends in the U.S. about lockdowns, shielding and what not, and one friend in NYC, another in Wildwood N.J., and one in Crystal River FL told of a disturbing trend that has started in restaurants over there.
A couple of guys together, or a group of guys, have been demanding that their waitress lowers her mask when she presents the bill at the end of the meal, saying that they need to check how “hot’ she is, in order to determine how much to tip her.
Naturally this has gone down like a lead balloon among the waitresses in establishments where this has occurred, leading to lots of verbal sparring and bad feeling.
I can imagine a lot of “accidental” spilling of red wine, or hot coffee on any man foolish enough to try that in some London restaurants, and quite right too.

Take it they have never heard of hooters?

The last thing I was looking at was their faces.

Thanks S.G.F., your amiable nod in my direction is welcomed and appreciated.
I freely admit that I was more than a tad perplexed to find myself accused of inventing the fact that some cretinous Americans had been harassing female servers by asking them to lower their masks to establish whether or not they were worthy of a tip.
Ethan’s Post # 6 provided a link that proved that the story was true, and was already in the public domain.
In addition, I was tainted by the assertion that I had been banned by another forum for “posting stuff that never happened”, complete and utter B.S.
It’s no one’s business but mine, but in an effort to prove that the person who posted that calumny was a tad negligent with the vérité, I’ll lay it out.
I was permanently banned by Digital Spy because during an exchange about “travellers”, I, who have always detested “travellers”, used the German translation of the English word “subhuman” to describe them.
Within 24 hours I was permanently banned from the site.
Naturally, I thought it was an over reaction, but I had no choice but to accept it.

I don't tip because I'm not a yank.

FYI, you don’t have to be a Yank to tip, I possess a U.K. passport, and I’ll tip if I think that the occasion warrants it.
