we have so little forum data about the 6900XT it’s a joke. I hope you all can take one for the team and contribute to the bench threads Kaapstaad is running. Even if the card is initially slower than expected we need some baselines to track what AMD do on the software.
As soon as mine is up and running (earliest end of this week as waterblock/hardline and complete new build with software etc needing installed) then I will get data as best as can and answer what can.
At moment all I can give is that at 250w the GPU boosted to 2400Mhz in CP2077, max temp was 70degree, fan speed was 1400rpm and it was actually super quite, couldn't hear over the case fans at all. When hitting auto overclock it jumped to 300w and boosted all to 2450Mhz, it remained at 70degree but fans were are 1510rpm. It didn't make any FPS difference which is no surprise although tbh it still wasn't audible over case fans. It hit 60fps in Ultra 3440x1440p with psycho setting on screen space reflections, compared to the 5700xt at 25fps and the 1070 at 15fps. Changing things to medium settings apart from textures on high gave the 6900xt ability to stretch legs to hit 130fps no problem. This is all on a really old 4970k system my housemate was using.
I have a temporary 3900x arriving because haven't been able to get ahold of a 5950x to date so there will still be some limitations. Other thing to note is it is on PCIE3.0 riser cable but I cannot see that being a big issue since the Intel systems would also be on PCIE3.0. It might give some data to compare with people on PCIE4.0 though to confirm.
