*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

If you read Gibbos post not some drivel somebody else added you will see, 25% was on some components, that does not mean cards will go up by 25% and that was some AIB's itself not Nvidia FE's in any case.

not sure, I just tried a live drop, and I was extremely fortunate it popped up as I sat down on PC, and was out of stock before the page loaded, queues are way better.

How often is someone going to be at a pc at a time a live drop is done?

Use ALerts from Telegram/discord on your phone and buy from phone. If you want one soon put in some effort.

Wow, so over 2000 people had payed and were waiting for this card before 800+ cancelations, whilst ASUS distribute them to shops with no preorders when there's literally a tenth of the supply of OC cards... Just wow.

ASUS do not distribute to retail shops, they send to Distributors, Depends on scale of operation and number of orders put in, blame distributors not ASUS.

Ok fair enough, who's the distributor?

Edit: And do ASUS pay the distributor, to distribute their products? I have no idea.

Hi all, I've been reading 5 pages back (sigh) but I haven't seen anything on this:

Are there any cards that are still "known to be on their way"? There were a mythical 20 asus tuf oc's and a bunch of gigabyte ones somewhere.. have these now all been dispatched to end users? My position for tuf oc: 20, and I have a flight simulator to try.

Well, my wait is over, I have decided to go with 3070 vision that i managed to get at retail price at huge uk retailer by accident. I have come to conclusion it is nearly impossible for me to get 3080 at this time and i will just keep a 3070 for the next year or so, i will be cancelling my palit 3080 pre order as im 113 in the queue and i dont expect to receive it for another few months, as maximum that was send was 20 over the course of 7 weeks since purchase. kind of disappointing but i do hope the 3070 will do me well for 1440p for the time being. Good luck to anyone that is still waiting.

Thought I’d add my update to show another problem with this stock situation. Was in Asus TUF non OC queue for two months but switched to one of the Zotacs that came into stock, cancelling the Asus. Felt fortunate, had it about a month but....first a noise would appear briefly when not gaming, turned out to be the rear fan when it span from 0rpm. Became irritating enough to use Afterburner to set to constant fans but was silent when running. And then as Christmas time off appeared and got Tier 3’d (then 4’d) of course said fan developed a noise under load that was unbearable just as had a ton of time to play Cyberpunk (which I was enjoying) with the lovely RTX.

No complaints with OC on accepting RMA, sent video with sound and all arranged and done. However, I am of course back in a queue given there is no stock of replacements, only this time I have no working PC at all given sold my 5900XT when the 3080 arrived and initially seemed all ok. One step forward, two back. Merry Christmas regardless, doubt I’ll be in any fit state to game this evening anyway

Ive just been bumped up to position 2 from position 3 in the zotac trinity non oc que so im assuming someone above me's left the line, also in the case that the trinity non oc cards have been discontinued will those of us with the order be offered an alternative card as they have been doing on scan?

Hi Mate, it was me. I was 2nd in the que and got a Suprim 3080 so cancelled my trinity non-oc

Merry Christmas!

I agree, I did the same after cancelling 2 3080's and ordering a 3070... for a 4k 144hz monitor. desperate times. Although I still think it's the right thing to do, even though the 3080 represents good value at rrp I don't really believe in the whole spend more to save more thing. Even if you find one in stock you have to think back to how much you were willing to spend, they are not good value anymore. It's getting to small fortune territory.
Merry Christmas

Not impossible if your willing to pay over the odds. Personally I decided against the 3070 due to 8GB GDDR6 (non-X) with same memory bandwidth as the 2080.

Exactly what I mean, paying over 150£ over MSRP isn't just worth it in my opinion as in couple of months they will become more available and I will be kicking myself I spend additional 200 for no reason when I could easily upgrade my 5600x to 5900x for those money's. I will just leave 3070 for another year or so and then think of next gpu, I think it will do fine for the time being :)

Christmas came and now I have everything I need to build my new PC, except from the Ventus 3X 3080 to complete it. I've put the fans in my case because that's all I can do so far. Now I have to wait until probably late January, staring at all these components, just to finish the build. :(
