*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

There was also another post from @Gibbo on 22nd of December mentioning some Zotacs being delivered and those taking care of all the backlog of orders "We have had some 3080 TUF OC arrive today and a surprise delivery of Zotac 3080 AMP HOLO, which might cover all the backorders on the Zotac.". Any update on that ?

Thanks.

ASUS RTX 3080 TUF OC
I'm still on queue 15 since 24/12, if the none-OC got upgrade to OC, what about us who paid the price for the OC? Is all 70 goes to the none-OC buyers? Are we gonna suffer more delay because of the mistake?

Dude... There's been about 400 tuf OC's delivered since launce and prior to this delivery 40 non OC's, give us a break? The distributor had told OCUK 60+ non OC were inbound, the were wrong it was OC. But since they'd already told customers they were non OC and since we've been shafted compared to OC cards they threw us a bone and honoured what was promised... It's about £30 more expensive, and non OC have waited far longer relative to que numbers, again give us a break.

Imagine your none-OC 3080 send it to none-OC 3070 buyers.

going forward, are TUF OC shipments going to be split between the two queues then?

seems to confirm that ASUS simply aren't supplying TUF NON OC. i'm happy for those who recieved them, but i'll be around position 60 now and if ASUS are only distributing them by accident, i can't see myself getting any closer?

not angling for an OC version, just want what i paid for within hours of launch and if ASUS can't fulfil their obligations then they'll just have to take the hit. we all know they're the same cards anyway given the lack of variance in the binning of the chips, just with a different firmware.

That's a straw man argument, if 70 TUF OC 3080's had gone to people in the que for TUF OC 3070's I'd say you have a good point for several reasons, mostly because they're about £150 cheaper but also 3070's are easier to get hold of...
If these 70 tufs that were promised to non OC had gone to those waiting on OC that'd put OC's on close to 500 cards delivered while non OC are stuck on 40 with no more incoming... Point in case you really don't have much to complain about, you've ordered one of the best supplied cards across all AIB's while non OC is one of the worst supplied...
I'd guess the vast majority of those in the non OC que, would had they have known this bias was coming in advance, would've happily put another £30 down for the OC just to get a card months quicker...

I doubt that very much, some non OC's shipped only a week or two ago... I think it was just a mistake, and they didn't want screw over those in the non OC que after promising a long overdue shipment.

@DarkEye damn that'd be a nice upgrade from the stagnant zotac trinity non OC que :o just putting it out there... :p
In hindsight I would have gone with the OC or amp version

I think my Asus TUF 3080 OC has two defective Display ports. I have tried two different cables to make sure it wasn’t the cable...here I though I was lucky to be upgraded from the non-oc model.

Fairness is a tough one. I'm an TUF OC customer, so of course seeing "my card" go to someone who didn't order it, nor pay the amount of money I paid is a bit meh, but if these people ordered way before me, I guess I can see it even out.

The only BIG caveat is that these 70 "accidental OC" cards should not be hurting the deliveries of further OC cards. If Asus now goes "oh, overclockers now have received their fair share of OC cards, lets send the rest of our stock to some competitor".. that would not be fair and I think us 'real' OC orderers should be given at least some share (50-50) of the unexpected OC cards.

As someone in the oc queue pos 600~ I will say this 70 cards mistake kinda stings as I'm hoping big shipments keep coming and I finally get my card that I ordered almost 2 months ago relatively "soon". But tbh I can see where the non-oc costumers are coming from, pretty sure most had they known the shipment volume back then they would have happily paid that extra 30£ saving them the frustrations their going thru rn, grats to everyone that got a free upgrade!

damm seing a lot fo people be like 600+ for the 3080 makes me glad i did not order a 3080 or 3090, i would have canceled my order, i take my hat off to you for sticking it out mate

Don't listen to those people. They're mainly people salty because they haven't been able to order a 3080. The TI won't be that much of a leap from the 3080 which is comfortably maxing out all of the games in my library.

Don't listen to these people. They're mainlt salty because they were first to order a 3080 and now they are salty because their card is now going to be superceded by an even better model in a matter of months :)
