*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

@Gibbo I haven’t heard anything about the 3070 Epic-X from PNY and have been under 10 in the queue since ordering on the 29th of October. It seems you have received less than 10 since the release. Are there any updates?

PNY are still yet to ship any 3070's

Asus have now confirmed to me that NONE OC cards are NOT discontinued and should be shipping some soon, they did say the price is going up though, I am awaiting to see my new cost as it best not be going up 25% as we can't afford to lose 25%, I have communicated to them we are still shipping hour one customers from launch day so they need to be mindful of this as its not our fault for selling so many within the first minutes of product launching.

oooh, so preorder customers have to make up another 25% or up to?

coz if Asus states the price for Tuf/Strix is this +25% example and and OC will lose to much if they honor past pre-order prices then pre-order customers will be met with the price hike.

What about MSI 3080 Ventus?

What would happen to the orders if the cards become discontinued? will orders be cancelled or will they be changed to the OC or another variant of the 3080

It is always worth searching for recent posts from Gibbo & ScottiB, or even just scrolling back a couple of pages...

We’re still hopeful a massive ramp up in 3080 will happen including none OC parts so the orders can be met and if in coming weeks / months it looks truly like board partners won’t ship any more none OC parts then management will have to come to a decision of do they shut down customer services for incoming enquires and just focus on calling customers offer paid for upgrades or do we cancel and refund all the orders.

I have been sitting in the ASUS 3080 NON-OC queue from hour 1.

If someone was to tell me, that after waiting for nearly 5 months that I'd then have to pay an extra 25% on top to get what I ORDERED AND PAID FOR ALREADY then that really is taking the absolute ****

I've been almost £700 down for what will be half a bloody year soon, and you want to take more money off me in order to keep my place WAITING even longer? What the hell is this..

Oh dear, it's not very cheery in here today!

I'm not normally an optimist, but it's still the first week back after xmas, so maybe things will look more promising or at the very least be a bit clearer next week.

With 3070's being more available, just in case anyone in the 3080 queues are wondering if a 3070 would be enough for them - I've been playing about with my 3070fe for a couple of weeks now in 1440p, and it's a very very good card. I was going to sell it if/when I get my 3080, but I like it so much I'm going to put in my wife's PC. It's a worthy upgrade from a 1080 imo, it gave a good cp2077 experience and is good enough for FS2020 on a rift s, and gives 360FPS at 1080p on 2016 twitch shooter I play. Literally double my 1080ftw. If it wasn't for my work needs I'd keep it myself.

So if your looking to end the pain of the 3080 queue and you think 1440p is enough, you should seriously consider a 3070, the FE especially is a bargain.

ill be running a 5600x + 3070 at 1440p both overclocked, what kinda FPS can I expect in games like call of duty

It seems for every 100pc Trio 3080 we get, we also get around 10pc Ventus for retail whereas SI gets a lot more Ventus which ScottiB has helped you guys out by releasing some of that stock in the past but on the flip side SI gets pretty much zero on the Trio cards.
A lot more? hahahaa that's overstating things a bit don't ya think? 20pcs in seven weeks doesn't feel like a lot to me

I haven't played COD so I'm not sure. But from other similar games I'd say your good for 144hz screen at 1440p and a 240hz screen at 1080p.

I'm running with a 10700k @ 5ghz so you should be similar or better given the OC card. Mind you the little FE is pulling off a 4691 in the Heaven benchmark using the rules in the thread here - from looking at the leader board that's not too shabby at all.
