For such 6900XT prices it might be a good idea to just get RTX 3090 FE instead - similar price, much better value and when they show up in stock on NVidia's site, they tend to sit there for 30+ minutes each time, so relatively easy to buy.

Indeed. At 1K they're an OK buy. At 1.2k they're far too close to the 3090FE.
