30xx Series Founders Edition

Yup, even games these days are a farce. Can you picture back in 1999 a game needing a multi gigabyte patch? It's insane how bloated things have become. It seems broadband and cheaper storage just means that almost no effort is made at compressing anything, games getting released then needing gigs of patches as they were released early, drivers being a half gig plus in size etc. My hard drive in 1999 was a shade under 7 gigs, not even enough for a semi recent game install.

It’s a massive abuse of resources/lazy development. Most games tend to focus on pretty textures before functionality; a pity when people are spending £50+ for a compromised experience.

Yep but I guess a few of us older gamers appreciate the finer points, its why we learned what the save button was, the way its going the users of present/future will assume saving is done for you and then only have themselves to blame when they cannot fix it such is the culture of easy-mode.

Got a question for you guys.

I got a replacement for my 3070 FE (EVGA XC3 Ultra 3070) and so I'm naturally going to sell my 3070 FE. Would you include all the receipts with the card or just not mention them? I don't really want some randomer having all my personal details.

Cheers (Sorry if it's an inappopriate question to ask here).

It is incredibly large but the the PhysX folder is much larger than I thought it would be.

Place game tape in Spectrum 128 plus 2, wait 10 minutes and watch loading screen, game crash....

Repeat.

Swear.

Shake cassette

Get screwdriver and adjust the heads on Spectrum 128 plus 2.

Reload tape and pray.

Or the time I bought a game from Domark of Star Wars arcade game (about 1988) to only find the stupid company had disabled the entire sound of the game and the game had cost £8.99 and they had not told anyone....No patches, just wireframe graphics and silence....

Those were the days.

Include a screenshot of the receipt and blank out your address and bank details. I've recently received similar and have provided this for people when i've sold cards

I can't remember what day i got my 3060, I keep checking daily for a 3080 but not holding my breath..

why are you doing this swap? The FE is the cheapest and best 3070

Some ppl are a bit nuts lol. buying an RTX 3070 without actually intending to use it much - nor intending to rip customers off on an auction website

Maybe this is simply because the 3070/3080 FE models are considered 'cheap' and therefore it's no big deal to some?

A similarly performing RTX 2080 TI was considered an excellent (but very expensive) graphics card, what changed?

It's been nearly 4 weeks since the last RTX 3070 FE drop, it just seems like Nvidia isn't bothered about selling FE cards anymore, they've said nothing about their plans for them, or how many FEs there will be, etc.

It's possible they don't want to admit there just isn't any stock for FEs (now they have the launch behind them), when they could sell GPU dies to AIBs instead for higher profits.

we had drops in Spain and France this week, and it was every model. expect we'll have something soon. It could be that they're stockpiling to give more people a chance (wouldn't that be nice).

I suppose one possibility is - NV wanted to see what the reaction would be on forums/Reddit/Discord/twitter if they took the FEs off their website. Maybe they were hoping for a weaker reaction, and hoped to stop selling them?

Clearly, it was on the cards, if AMD was considering discontinuing their reference models last year?
