it's an interesting idea, but demand is so high, the reaction was inevitable. nobody wants to see any manufacturer pull out at this time. plus they know the demand for the FEs. so I don't think it's that (that makes more sense when stock gets back to normal). I suspect they implemented new bot protection on their site and didn't want to show their hand too early (it's an arms race after all).

Yeah pretty much, they doing a better job than the partners at the moment. Also we had more drops than rest of europe so I think probably is a wait for a round in the european stores then UK again next week is my prediction. But of course keep checking 1pm to 3pm every working day as I did get my 3080 last week on a surprise drop only a week after a previous drop.
When nvidia stopped selling directly from their site and announced US vendor with discussions ongoing regarding EU there were people and news sites posting that EU FEs were done etc even though that was not what was said
Then they disappear off the site when laptops are added and again the 'no more FEs!' posts start. Personally I think they are just in short supply like many things since last year and both nvidia and AMD just cant make them quickly enough. I'm sure if nvidia wanted to stop selling them then they simply would regardless of what AMD are doing.

Caveat: I'm a bit OCD
The 3070 FE looks sweet and is nice and small but the cooler is a bit frustrating. I found that the fans constantly produce a high pitched whirr which is very irritating when I'm prioritising a silent (or near silent build); the whirr obviously disappears when the fans are in idle but it's very noticeable otherwise.

I RMA'd the card and the replacement had the exact same issue. After chatting to some people on the SFFPC and Nvidia discord, I discovered that this is basically working as intended for Nvidia; it's not noticeable if you have a case with lots of fans and noise but in silent builds I found it to be noticeable.
Interestingly, some people also noticed the issue on the 3080 FE as well (I haven't got one... yet).
So long story short, I bought a EVGA 3070 XC3 Ultra, and sold my FE. Couldn't be happier, the XC3 is an amazing card; bit of a tight squeeze in the Ncase M1 though!
I only noticed that when I tried ramping the fan curve up by about 15% to see what/if any impact it had on boost behaviour - on mine at least the stock fan curve doesn't produce much noise. Mine seems to run a touch cooler than some people's though which might make a difference - I know some people talk of uppers 70s even 80C in games - mine is usually ~70.
Extra paper work and delays at the ports cant help. We are also back to the good old days where like the US when you now buy stuff from Europe you get hit with import TAX and VAT ! Raaaay Brexit.

It's been a bit of a quiet couple of weeks but the FE store has been getting deliveries around 5 so who knows.
Don't recall ever seeing them listed that late on, for afternoons at least 2-2:30 seems to be the window they list them.
Nvidia will wait 2 months, some will go insane waiting
