The shed roof looks like my plastic fence you asked a picture for except the fence is quite a bit darker and thicker - probably 50mm thick.

ps - spray your roof with roof moss killer - did mine and scraped all moss off and it's been moss free for years - just spray a weak moss killer solution over it once a year - looks so much better.

Finished work at 4pm (WFH) and cleared the garden borders of pea gravel, the skip had some room in it and I don't like returning a skip unless it's full Couldn't be bothered to drag the ramp out and prop it with blocks for the sake of the 1hour of remaining daylight, so just filled buckets.

Cheers - the problem with doing that with the roof is I'd have to.do the while house roof as well as it would look right out of place

Well, inevitably, the temporary tape and paint fix to the holes in the kitchen ceiling don't appear to withstand my eldest daughter leaving several pans on the boil withoutout the extract on.

So cut a template from paper and copied it onto some standard plasterboard

Another five and cut them all out along with some fixing battens

The battens are just wider than the holes

Slip them in the hole (oooh matron!)

A screw either side to hold in place

Pop the plasterboard disc in

Screwed into place and on to the next x 6 ...

Will fill / sand the gaps / perimeter and paint one night this week

Should give you a better fix, you might find you get cracking around each disc, I'd be tempted to filler and sand a few times and hold off painting fir a month or 2, just to let everything acclimatise.

Cheers it should. The pollyfiller advance (while expensive) does seem to be very good at not cracking and I think a few of the gaps are big enough to take a few layers of fill. I'm going to overlap onto the ceiling to "feather" it while standing and likely to them paint the whole ceiling to avoid it looking patchy.

When we get this room extended and the new kitchen in some of the ceiling will be coming down anyway and the any existing remaining walls / ceiling re-skimmed.

@{SAS}TB I went a bit OTT when I filled both my holes in the lounge when I had a rose moved and more lighting installed last September.

Here was one of them. My thinking was two screws in each side of the wood would stop it from being able to 'pivot', then 4 screws in the circle would stop that from trying to move either. Seems to have paid off so far. I used toupret filler as its really easy to sand.

Our washer dryer has gotten worse at drying over the past few months, so I opened it up and cleaned out the built up lint around the fan.

My god, I could have made a t shirt from the amount that was clogged in there. I wish I'd have taken a picture.

It now works brilliantly again, it's amazing how inefficient it had gotten.

Cheers - I tend to use Pollyfiller Advanced - it's expensive but lightweight, easy to apply and it seems to work on bigger / deeper holes

I have two weeks holiday now so the jobs which were put off have been started. Scraping out hairline cracks and filling as well as re-siliconing window sills/frames and oiling doors. FML! It'll look better when done though!

I've just noticed some cracks around my window in the bathroom, painted at Xmas time. Very annoying. Looks like the old paint has come off, no signs of it when I painted it.

I'm meant to be getting some small wall units for the loving room, so they'll go up this weekend no doubt.

A tip I got from youtube was to peel the paper layer off the infill piece that way the filler has space to sit in the hole and will blend with the surrounding plasterboard better.
