Yes, i laid out the scenario in which it is faster and by how much.

If you increase the clock speed on the 6800 XT by 100Mhz, then the results would be different and the gap would close.

Agreed. I switch the rgb off on my gigabyte motherboard, but it would be nice to sync Trixx with my G.SKILL rgb RAM. I like how the fans of the SE version provide a nice subtle glow on the bottom of my case which wasn't there on the non-SE version.

Only 5-7% from my research. Not really worth the extra powerdraw if you ask me. Of course I'm not going to **** on anyone that bought a 6900X though as you do get a very nice shiny Gold box with that one. :cool:

6800 XT is a true 4k card. The 6800 not so much but still a great. Only reason I decided to switch for the XT is because I plan to get a very high resolution monitor or even a LG CX in the near future.

The thing is reviews have not conducted controlled testing like i did, so their comparisons are good for a rough indication but are not accurate. Also the power draw is very similar between the 6800 XT and 6900 XT, that's why they both have the same TDP.

The power draw from the extra shader cores and compute units is somewhat offset by the 6900 XT being better silicon, and requiring less voltage for the clock speed.

The 6900 XT draws fractionally more power when i compared Wattage drawn at the wall between the 6800 XT and the 6900 XT. The difference comes in the power spikes, which are definitely larger on the 6900 XT, but the average power draw is similar.

Enjoy your 6800 XT, i miss mine it was a bargain at £600 delivered.

Received my Nitro 6800XT ordered from Overclockers yesterday. Installed without a problem and so far it’s worked without any issue. I game At 1440p and I’ve gone from 50fps medium/low in cyberpunk on my old RX5700 to 80fps ultra settings on the 6800XT.

Also seen a nice boost in metro exodus to so I’m very happy. Just hope I can recoup some of the cost of the new card from the sale of my old one.

Wow OK so, just did a little play with watt man.
Was able to get it running at 2730mhz with a
.25 undervolt

It was only in modern warfare so not stability tested but running at under 70c

Think I may have a golden card!

not sure if its lucky or not, but i bought a sapphire 6800 xt nitro but received the 6800 xt nitro SE, thinking they might of over sold the normal version so just sent me the se instead. hopefully that wont effect my warranty if i ever need to return it...........

I mean when I want from R9 290 to VEGA 64 I was blown away with the performance jump. From R9 290 to RX 6800XT now that is some performance jump.
