What TV shows are you currently watching

I think I only managed a couple of episodes of See before I decided not to carry on as it felt a bit boring.

Really got hooked on New Amsterdam and completed season 2 this morning. Apparently season 3 is now airing but doesn't look like it's available in UK yet. Feel a bit lost now, been solely watching it since the weekend :o lol

Finally got round to watching The Shield and now on the final episode of season 2. Loving it so far.

Lucky thing - one of the best shows ever and some great story lines coming.

Wandavision - Three episodes in and not really feeling it at the moment.

Watch Ep 4 - if you don't feel it after that, give up. But i have a feeling you will be hooked :)

Although I’d seen them all before, I’ve started watching “The Vietnam War” again, the Ken Burns 10 part documentary on America’s involvement in S.E. Asia on PBS.
This time around, I’m taking more notice of what politicos were involved, and what they did or said, and the various anti-war movements that sprang up in the U.S. and around the world.
One slice of typical Americana leapt out on the episode that I watched yesterday, a little known country singer, Jan Howard, had written and recorded a song, “My Son”, dedicated to her son Jimmy who’d been drafted to Vietnam.
Sadly, Jimmy was killed in action not long after, and a group of anti-war protesters came to Jan’s house, and said that in the event of losing her son, would she care to march against the war in Memphis with them.
She looked into the camera and said, “I told them that I agreed 100% with their right to protest the war, but if they ever rang my doorbell again, I’d blow their heads off with a .357 Magnum!”

Is Black sails worth a watch?

Black sails is well worth a watch for sure!, its one of the very few series i've watched twice and very good if you enjoy a good pirate theme. It suffers some dodgy acting at times but it more than makes up for it in the production. Its one of those series i'd wish they'd more of but glad they didnt as the story is seen through and never really feels stretched out.

I thought I'd give "Resident Alien" a go. It has Alan Tudyk as the lead and I've generally enjoyed the range of shows he's been in, not counting all the dozens of shows he's done voice overs for.

Just not feeling it at all, characters are wooden and plot is dull as dishwater. I'll give it a couple more episodes to see how it develops, but I'm not hopeful. Shame, on paper it sounded like it might be fun.

Yeah, I have that on my list of possible shows, so will be interested to hear how you progress with it.

Also have Walker and The Equalizer on my radar if anyone is watching those, would be interested to hear how you find them.

Watched the trailer for The Equalizer and it look bad, soooo very bad.

Finished AH Story Asylum - excellent story. 2 episodes into Coven and it seems a bit pants - witches and Hogwarts, i mean witch school :(

Sense8

Very confusing first episode but I have been told it gets very good once you get passed the initial first 3. Its certainly well produced and locations.

Just watched S1 of After Life, brilliant. Never bothered before as I'm not a fan of Gervais particularly but AL was excellent.

Though a bit disappointed he softened at the end, I was enjoying his obnoxious sarcasm :p

Is S2 just as good?

Almost finished S1 of Dollface, quite enjoying it as a kinda Crazy Ex-Girlfriend 'LITE' sans any musical numbers.

Though if you have problems relating to women or women 'issues' then you should probably skip this. :p

Just started "It's a Sin" - pretty good actually. Not my normal viewing but it was recommended to me. Follows a group of young people in the 80s growing up with AIDS becoming more 'well known' amongst society.

The lead singer of 'Years and Years' is the main actor.

Created by Russell T Davies and its on 4OD.
