Looking to potentially put together a modest build for 1080p 144hz gaming, mostly fast paced games. It all really depends on whether I can manage to get a 3060 when they are released.
Here's what I'm thinking.
CPU: Intel Core i5-10600K 4.1 GHz 6-Core Processor £209.65
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports CPU Cooler £29.54
Motherboard: MSI Z490-A PRO ATX LGA1200 Motherboard £139.49
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory £74.20
Storage: Western Digital Blue 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive £49.94
Video Card: RTX 3060 ~£330.00
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P300A Mesh ATX Mid Tower Case £58.99
Power Supply: SeaSonic CORE GM 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply £75.46
Case Fan: ARCTIC P12 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fan £8.69
Case Fan: ARCTIC P12 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fan £8.69
Case Fan: ARCTIC P12 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fan £8.69
Monitor: Pixio PX248 Prime 24.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor £169.99
Total: £1163.33
Desk space is limited so I'll spend £50-60 adding a 60% keyboard and I'll need to wall mount the monitor. I already have a mouse. So total looks to be about £1200.
The other consideration is a gaming laptop as it similar ballpark price and will be better in terms of space constraints.
