Incorrectly badged car at main dealer

Any update OP?

Think this car was at our local Volvo dealer, looking at the pictures above apart from the Volvo badge being wonky it appears to be in the wrong position?
It arrived at my local dealer today. Waiting to hear what they say. I’ll update once I hear more. Where is your local dealer?

V90 CC's also have an AWD badge next to the engine marker. That one's certainly had all of the badges reattached with the incorrect T5 one and no AWD badge.
Off leased my T5 CC last month. It was a very relaxing bus to commute in for 21 months.
The things it lacked would seem to be the extras in the T6 pro - 19" wheels, extending seat squab and an extra 50bhp (It's a big old bus)
I'd specced winter pack so had heated steering wheel and windscreen that come with the pro pack and really miss them now as new car doesn't have them.
If you do get it, make sure the dealer sends you the code to activate the volvo on demand app.
Remote start (with automatic seat/windscreen heating), climate cooling, lock/unlock etc all from the app.
Was great in the really cold mornings, use app to start car 10 mins before leaving hours, front/rear windows clear and seat and wheel nicely warmed up :)

I’ve had my eye on the V90 CC for a while and have been waiting for a T6 Pro to come up. There aren’t very many of them and when they do come up they seem to go quickly, so if this one turns out okay I’ll take it. It could be a while before the next one comes up and my current car is on the verge of exploding.

Glad to hear a real world review of the extra options. The official reviews all seem scripted and they never elaborate on these bits. I’ve driven a couple of S/V90s but they didn’t have the heated wheel/screen or the adaptive bending lights. This car is well specced except it was missing Apple CarPlay and a reversing cam, so I’ll get those added if the deal goes ahead.

That’s where it arrived today! It is being inspected and all being well I’ll pick it up next week.

Where was the car? Thought I saw this listed at Snows but looked at quite a few V90 CC recently so probably just confused haha

Has the dealer/volvo given you any more info what happened to the car?

Hope it turns out OK for you.

If you're looking for one, I know of an immaculate T5 with winter pack - Osmium grey metallic with amber leather, 14k miles.
Note that you'll see a huge amount of CC T5's coming onto the market, most with basic spec and all registered around March to May 19. These were the silly cheap Santander leases that have mostly ended.
I'd have kept mine on as it was a bargain but ordered it's replacement in March last year (only arrived last month)

The V90 is a lovely car. I'm looking at the V90 Recharge when it goes full EV in 2024 as I want my next car to be full electric. I hope the one in Winch is up to scratch.

Pop round to have a look at that car, keen to buy today, then say "OMG dodgy badge work, not convinced about this motor pal, obviously been in an accident. Laterz!".
Scuzi then gives you half his discount secured next week :D

Definitely been in a bump hard enough to knock all the badges off or full panels have been replaced. That's not a 'chips away' touch up.

At least you know something has happened and you can check to see if it's been fixed properly. Have a look at the colour, make sure it's been matched right.

Not keen on the amber leather myself. Interesting about the Santander leases.

Doubt they would give a big enough discount to make it worth while. :p

The dealer gave an update with a video walk around. No signs of previous damage or repair but they can’t say for sure why the badges were like that. Best guess at the minute is a wrap or a paint repair on the tailgate. Either way it appears to be a straight car so I’m proceeding on the condition that my inspection matches what they have told me. Managed to get an extra grand off with all of the teeth sucking :D

Going to inspect and hopefully pick it up on Tuesday. They’re adding a reversing camera which has to come from Sweden so it may be later in the week.

This is how it looks now from the video screenshot:

Dead image link. Hope it works out for you, sometimes people over think things. Did it comes back clear, looks clean and have money off then than happy to do the deal.

Image fixed.

The only other available V90 CC T6 in my price range is an Ocean Race spec which carries the price premium and terrible colour scheme that goes with it.

Upload the video instead of a blurry screenshot?

As previous posters have said, i personally would walk away - you have no idea of it;s past history. Could be a great deal or could end up causing issues.

But if you know what you are getting into, then it may work out for you.

Tell them to leave the badges off
I moved on from debadged cars when I was about 19. I’m a little old for that now.

It’s a privately hosted video and I don’t want to share the link here as it contains personal information. I posted the screenshot to show that the badges have been removed and they’re getting ready to rebadge it.

Regarding past history, it’s the same for any used vehicle. This one did raise lots of questions but so far I’m happy with what I have seen. The physical inspection will tell all, but the Volvo techs have already inspected it and there is no sign of previous damage or repair. I’m guessing we’ll never know for sure unless I manage to track down the previous owner, but unless there is a massive surprise lurking underneath I’m not that fussed. It’s a family wagon and it won’t be too long before the seats are covered in mud and melted sweets and the kids run the bicycle handlebars along the side of it :D
