Covid-19: Thousands of unwanted vehicles stored at Rockingham

What I want to know is how on earth do you keep track of all the keys? I'm guessing some sort of "location map". That looks entertaining from a logistics POV.
IIRC I'm sure a friend of mine that handled the security contract for one of the manufactures storage areas a few years back said they're unlocked and the keys are in the cars.

Sounds about right. I've picked my car up from garage many times and the key has been inside under the mat. Not sure if his insurance covers that but it is a pretty quiet and safe area...

Hadn’t realised Rockingham had closed for motorsport entirely. Glad I managed a track day there.

Couldn’t care less where the surplus Vauxhalls are stored.

When people started pretending that there was a time when the most ordinary of cars wasn't boring presumably.

Did you really think people didn't think an Allegro was boring?

The allegro was never boring. Never good, but never boring.

Will it start? Will it catch fire? Will the windows fall out? So much excitement to be had!

If they needed them that badly they wouldnt have got rid of them.

Your stupidity gives me a headache.

Aaaaaaanyway - I have to agree with...

The worst bit of this is the waste of what was a decent venue that me and my dad used to watch being built and then visited many times a year before all the events started disappearing.

...this.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts.....

Lockboxes on the car, they attach to the drivers window with the key in it.

This is such a click bait article.

Look at the big auction guys such as BCA, they have thousands of vehicles on each site especially the larger ones!

This is an old bit of ground being used as a perfect way to store vehicles, look at Blackbushe then you can make a huge article on that too.

e; This looks like a quiet day
