Not that it affects me but there are other delivery companies that delivery from England to Ireland. If DPD are being such a PITA, why not use another company until DPD sort their stuff out?

It's related to VAT too. We are VAT registered in Ireland and the Irish revenue service advised us to continue to charge the VAT up front. The couriers are refusing to handle shipments VAT paid...probably because they get to charge a handling fee when they charge the VAT prior to delivery.

An nvidia engineer has already posted on Twitter that the "fix" on the 3060 is both driver and vBIOS, there is a handshake that has to match between the two, and the vBIOS is encrypted so unlikely to be hacked or re-written. As ScottiB said, this is why they can't "fix" existing cards (unless they can convince everyone to flash updated vBIOS files to gimp mining :p ). The only way around it is to change the algorithm that the "fix" is looking for... I have no idea how easy that is. I commend nvidia for doing something here, and making at least one model less attractive to miners and more likely to get to gamers, but the 3060 stock will be impacted by the general gfx card shortage, so I'm sure scalpers will still be all over them to resell for profit.
 
I cancelled my October strix order mid December, i went from 850 to 480, I reckon i would have been around the 150 to 200 mark now

I also cancelled my October Amp Extreme order mid December, went from 20 to 11 the card was never released so would have been still in the Que

managed to bag 4 3080s since then, one of them being free, and 2 PS5 Consoles

All you need is a web tab opened on the corner of your work computer and access to the F5 button

I think it was Oc3D who today posted the sensationalist headline ""Bitcoin pricing plunges after reports of a $1.5 billion transfer. From $58,000 to under $48,000 within a few hours." bearing in mind that $48,000 was roughly the value about a week ago...and within an hour it was back up to $53,000, which is roughly where it was yesterday. In simple terms the total crypto market value has increased by about 75% this month and a momentary dip isn't going to scare off miners. :eek:

Some people might be moving coins around from the speculative ones to the big few, that tends to happen occasionally (it's kinda like penny stocks being more prone to pump & dump tactics), but the overall value continues to surge.

* To show off how powerful our graphics rendering PCs were
* because we use its milk to cool our high end PCs and there's only so much milk to go around.

If if makes you feel better I've been 6th since 8th Jan & started at 36th from Date ordered: 17/09/2020 14:46:16.


Its a dead line......Zotac did a switcheroo with the newer AMP holo cards & i'm now pretty much resigned to endless waiting on a card that will never materialise or have an alternative upgrade offer.

A small part of me wishes the order would just get cancelled & refunded, I'm just too stubbourn to do it myself.

I could atleast then take my £700 in the pot for a desperatly needed whole new fresh build & place my trade elsewhere.
