not powerful enough for my content creation.
I finally managed to get the 3070 this morning after coming close 4 times! The frustration this has caused due to credit card rejecting my purchase etc.
Was alerted 9:16am. Managed to complete the check out and paid via PayPal @ 9:19am hence you have to be really quick.
I am afraid you are too late if you click the link and it takes you to an info page with no option to add to basket. I had that before. I checked nvidia.com 9:20am and it was all gone.
Good luck with future drops.
PS. The availability may shows up on the Nvidia.com website later than the Alert sites. Best to click on direct link from Alert site and don't use Nvidia site. I missed out once due to this.

Good of Telegram to let you know. I only got the notification when I opened the app after it spent time syncing.
Got another notification on discord for once but was too late.
I went for the 3090 as I thought there will be less competition compared to the 3070, ideally I would love a 3080 but 3070 would have been better financially. However I am telling myself after I can sell the 1080ti the total outgoing will be not as bad.
Second hand shop are currently buying 1080Ti for £331 which would avoid the scammers on the auction site coming back in 6 months time. I ought to take my Titan in but they will only give me £197 so I'm torn between doing that or keeping it as a spare.

I can get back almost what I paid for my 6800xt nitro by selling to 2nd hand shop without all the scammers hassle.
Hope the 3090FE offers a jump in RT and general FPS over the 6800xt

USA had a drop yesterday so made me believe we were going to get one today
I have thought about this, but then I see on auction sites my Strix 1080ti are mostly going for around 500+! some even close to 600. I might try to post it locally first and see if I can do a cash sale for around £400-450. If not then second hand shop will be my port of call.

I had a 3090 ready to buy but backed out before checking scalper prices on auction site and realising I should have now bought it and sold it on like god knows how many people seem to be doing.. £2000-2300.. Crazy times.
This is from the "other place" chat earlier, so supposedly 1000 cards comprising 3070/3090. If that's true then the lions share must have been 3070 as the 3090 generally sits around for a bit. Unless people are now just jumping on the 3090 as the 3080 is simply too hard to get.
Thats the reason the only sensibly priced cards and unfortunately probably the most people have their alerts ready to fire off. To think we thought £1399 was a ridiculous price when they were released and the price is not looking pretty respectable.
Watch the Nvidia Driver thread but I expect you wont need to go looking when it happens it will be splashed everywhere so dont worry about missing it I think it will be hard not to miss it.

Clicked on the link as soon as it showed up but obviously got held up at the captcha. By the time I got to the page there wa no buy button anymore. Going to have to look into a way to get around the captcha as other people are clearly mich faster than me.
