Nvidia Re-Size Bar/SAM support is live for some cards, more in March - 10% performance gains

Not only that but it also improves the image quality on Nvidia cards a lot better than AMD cards by 3.14159% !!!

I have a Gigabyte X570 Master, a Gigabyte 3080 Xtreme and a 5900X. Both my mobo and gpu are on the latest bios, in my mobo bios Re-Size Bar is set to auto, options are auto or disable. However, in the Nvidia system info page, it says Re-Size bar - No.

Any ideas?

Mobo bios has nothing to do with GPU bios it is just coincidence or way Gigabyte label them that they are same build number.

No Nvidia cards other than the 3060 have the needed Bios so far.

Only the 3060 has the BIOS for it; other cards are getting it early March.

I have the GPU (3090FE), I have a Mobo with "4G Decoding" setting so I will only get this if the German peep from Winraid forums (he used to be in NForceHQ Forums or such) Mods the Bios to add it.

The 3060 was only 4% faster in AC Valhalla with ReBar (although 11% faster on the lows), so a much lower improvement than the 15-20% that AMD gets. AMD are already extremely strong in BFV vs equivalent Nvidia cards, Nvidia have a lot of catching up to do.

It is a new feature and the 3060 is not a high end card and one game and at the end of the day it is a free bonus boost to FPS and like most will get less the higher the RES.

Yeah the RX 5000 series supports SAM/RBar as far as I know.

I updated my mobo x470 with 2700x and was able to turn the option on in my bios along with the above 4g decoding. I have a Vega 64 so doubt it will do anything but with a 2700x it can be turned on.
