30xx Series Founders Edition

Yes the cycle is worsened by people buying different tiers instead of getting one and sticking with it. This also goes for people buying them off multiple sites till they get the one they want and either send back the cards they dont want to be charged for or resell them on.

Once you add these number in it makes the already low stock competitive and that's not accounting for the RMA + 28 day cooling off send backs etc.

What you whingers on about, people buying two for mates and what not as if that is effecting your chance of getting one, drop in the ocean compared to the real issue its miners and covid that is causing the supply issue, end of. So the reason I can't buy a printer, mountain bike, kayak is all because of people buying extra one for a friend too right.

Turning on other people because you can't get a GPU is pretty sad. You sound like a bunch of daily mail commenters, get a grip. ;)

Many gamers are now mining with spare 3000 series cards so the shortage is perpetuated further. Anyone buying any 3060ti is still trying to buy a higher tier card which is obviously causing a doubling of demand which is abnormal.

I got a 3070 FE just before Christmas but I was always after the 3080 FE. I bought the 3070 FE because it was the only one I could get, after trying to get a 3080 FE a couple of times before and failing. With the new one per customer policy on the other site, now I can't buy a 3080 FE.

At first I was happy that I got the 3070, and it was a vast improvement on my previous GPU, but its still a no brainer to get the 3080 FE. So having failed to get a 3080 FE on the last couple of drops due to the new policy, Im forced now to try and set up a 2nd account to a different address in order to get one. Its crap, absolutely, but the fact is that this is what scalpers are doing to get multiple FE cards over and over, so now I have to as well.

I didn't think the rules regarding the 3060 Ti/3070/3080 ever actually changed did they? It's always been one per customer from the start. The rules were changed specifically around how the 3090 was considered. Before you could have up to two 3090 cards in addition to one lower 30XX card. Now it's just one of anything and that's it. However I don't think moving from a 3070 to a 3080 was ever allowed under the purchase rules, not without 'cheating' anyway.

No I think at some point before Christmas it was possible to get one card per drop, rather than one overall. Then it changed to one of everything except 3090's, and now its changed to one full stop. I think it even includes AIBs now, so if you have an FE you can't buy an AIB or vice versa.

As I`m usually using my phone for the Discord alerts as 90% of the time I`m not at my laptop or my desktop, has anyone had success using their mobile or is it predominantly the desktop where people are succesfull in getting the cards?
Used my mobile at last nights drop and managed to grab a 3080. Luckily I was on it when the 3080 alert pinged up.

You even get people claiming they're almost doing people a favour by buying multiple cards, deciding which one they want and selling the others online for MSRP but second-hand. I think some people are addicted to the "thrill of the chase". They have already purchased multiple cards but just can't help themselves.
Djay was joking when he said that. :p

Yeah I've now set up discord on my laptop, as last night when my phone finally pinged it was 10 minutes after the alert actually went off, I've tried disabling all the power saving options and given discord every permission I can find but unless I constantly hold the phone in my hand with discord running there's always a delay

Congratulations :) Even though I`d already logged in and done the captcha on the 3070 drop I still didn`t get in there in time, hence why I think there is a delay in phone alerts compared to laptop/desktop.

I`ve no idea how much later phone alerts are for me as I`m generally using my mobile though I have now set up discord on my laptop in case I am in the office when the next notification comes.

£649 is the right price for a 3080FE, proof is any was needed was how bad the scalping is for AIB cards :(

AIB 3080s seem to be creeping nearer and nearer to £1K
