What PC games are you playing?

Trying out death stranding. Never played a kojima game before so it took me by surprise. Its an intersting story though

I tried out the Outriders demo (through GeforceNow)... it's not bad, better than I thought it'd be... it's sort of run-of-the-mill in terms of the world and story and stuff, plus the cover system and meleeing and whatnot felt kinda off... but it was still fun... I'm very much a patient gamer though so I'll look to maybe get it in a few years when it's cheap, as it's not a live-service game it's not like I'd be missing out on anything anyway... though it doesn't always work out, still waiting for deep rock galactic to be sufficiently reduced to get.

Simbin GTR2

I recently picked up Assetto Corsa Competizione really cheap but it pushes my system to its limits. Good game but one to revisit when I upgrade my PC. So it got me thinking of playing a similar GT Class Sim. So trawling through my Steam backlog, I picked GTR2 from 2006!

I never really gave it a chance back in the day. Race 07 was my favourite (still is). GTR2 is regarded as a really good sim. The only sim I can think where if you end up in the gravel or fail to respect some kerbs, it really slows you down or sends you into a spin. Lovely physics, and runs so smooth! Very clean graphics which I like and decent grids (35 cars). The AI is good fun, they will block overtaking attempts. I am racing the lower GT classes so you have to watch your mirrors. You need to Google a quick fix to restore Porsche and Ferrari cars back into the Steam version (they were removed due to licensing).

Also GT Legends (same engine and Developer) awesome game, love racing around in a Lotus Elite/Elan trying to fight the big block US machines.

Both have very a good community and mod support. 10 year anniversary patches or complete overhauls. I am playing vanilla and still highly recommended. :)

@Daytrader I am impressed, I normally avoid Porsche's like the plague in sims but they handle really nice in GTR. Its good to race on tracks with gravel traps as they make you focus; nowadays they are thing of the past!

Yeh, i have almost all the racing sims going, and i still have both of them installed, and have fun with them, best mod in the world also for GTR2 as well, Power and Glory.

That's quite the achievement for an SP game. I take it that's without the DLC?

Found it a bit tough to begin with as I'm lazy (gave up once before). But for a professional save scummer like me, I'm well on my way now.

It was with the DLC, but I did tend to spend ages ferrying loot back to my base and playing the game with stealth. You could probably finish it in 150-200 hours if you blitzed it.

addicted to deep rock galactic atm, its the same thing over and over but with just little differences each mission, its so samey but the gunplay graphics and humor just have me hooked, just past the 100 hour mark on steam and dont see me stopping anytime soon

Can that be played single player?

yea you can you get a little robot thing that flys around and attacks for you or you can point at stuff with your laser pointer and will mine things for you, like the classes it has a talent tree as well that can make it better :) co-op is the way to go though, the community is one of the best as well, elite dive can be a little elitiest but the normal deep dive and everything else is very friendly

Nothing at all right now. I took my computer apart on friday to start building a new one but ran into issues and haven't managed to finish it yet.
Bought myself Loop Hero through Steam on my phone though and will be playing that when it's up and running. Also Siralim ultimate which is out on the 12th
Really needed the 3090 to play these super demanding games /s

Door Kickers 1 & 2 - if you liked the mission planning in the original late 90's Rainbox Six then these two are definitely for you.

You are the "mission planner" for a SWAT team (DK1) or Ranger team (DK2) tasked with taking down terrorists, rescuing hostages and apprehending bad guys in a top down view. The unique part is that, once the planning is finished you can then control the team from your God's Eye view if the plan needs adjusting on the fly.

Surprisingly complex yet addictive with simple graphics which won't stress your PC too hard.

Currently playing Batman Arkham Knight.

Really enjoying going through the older classics with modern hardware & OLED screen etc. It's great watching it push a solid 90fps @ 4k - especially when I think back to how demanding it was on release. :)

Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I really liked the other 2 games , finding this one a bit of a slog, it does not really add anything new at all
The first one I absolutely loved the second one I thought was decent and shadow of the tomb raider I thought was complete trash, the dialogue was so god awful, I just rolled past all enemies, did no side missions and just finished it too see the ending, then uninstalled it and put it in the never to be touched again folder in steam

Ever so slightly late to the party I’ve just finished Kotor 1 and 2 for the first time, I think they hold up really well. Definitely worth a replay at some point :D

Loop Hero
Picked this up a few days ago while I was without a computer so I only played it for 20 minutes last night and wow, I have a really good feeling about this one.

Not the best game to baptise such a monstrous computer with but hey
