Aorus Elite X570 BSOD

Yes it arrived, and all was going well until today when I suffered two crashes! This install has not gone well..

I risked the RAM as the better half needs an upgrade anyway, so no loss there but I'm now stumped.

Could it be a faulty MB? Or do I need to change more MB settings? Maybe CPU voltage or something? I've never ran OC ram before so maybe I'm missing something.
What CPU are you using?

Have you got any error codes from the crashes i never touched nothing in the bios apart from enableing xmp mate so something definately isnt right what cooler are you useing have you over tightened it by any chance

I did have a problem on my old MB from overtightening so I was careful on this one, the cooler I've got bolts straight through rather than using the clips however, I've got the board mounted horizontal in my case so can loosen it right off and see if it helps.

Error codes, I'll have to look again, one of the was the IRQ=LESS than something, then I did have a different one another time.

The CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600.

Hmm, maybe it is something to do with the cooler install, I've got it it in a case I've made so maybe the board it's dead flat or something - time to take it all apart again I guess!

So I thought about the driver thing and reinstalled windows in case the old MSI drivers were causing issues, but I'm still having the same problems on any RAM I put in (including some 2400mhz Hyper X from another system).

My bios settings are default with just XMP and 1.4v on DDR (this is back on the 3600Mhz Corsair). I have however been through a guide previously where I manually set all the RAM options and infinity fabric etc and still had BSOD problems.

I don't think it's a config issue to be honest, it must either be MB or CPU I think? I'll have it apart this weekend and re-seat the CPU and check tension on the cooler installation (although it's far from tight at the moment).

Competitor came back again asking me to check that I didn't smear thermal paste on the pins of the CPU, I'll check but I doubt I did!!

i have x570 Elite with 5950x. Originally, i was using hynix 64gb (2x 32GB) and it did not work well at all at any speed etc. I also have B450 with 2600 and it was the same way. Finally i have changed RAM sticks to Micron (again 2x 32GB, 3600 kit, CL18) and all the issue went away on both systems.

So today I re-seated my CPU, checked no thermal compound was on the pins or in the socket and made sure the cooler wasn't over-tightened. I still got a BSOD after an hour or so use. I also tried some 2400mhz HyperX ram and still got a BSOD.

I just checked if it was the latest still and it seems F33c has been removed from the download page, the latest is now F32. I wonder if this has been the cause of the issues.. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Edit - I also went re-downloaded and installed a load of drivers as well as iCue after doing some research and that didn't help.

Have you tried setting PCIex16 to Gen 3 in bios setup?

Um.... I have now!

Had another BSOD this morning so is this doesn't fix it it's 100% going back.

here's my setup. 5950x, x570 Elite (F33c), 4x32GB, 3060ti, one other PCIe x1 card. Onboard sound disabled, USB audio (UMC204HD), USB vid capture, USB scanner.

RAM currently is at 1800, CL18.

vsoc 1.11
VDDP 0.9
VDDG CCD 1.01
VDDG IOD 1.01
vcore - auto

PCIEx16 - gen 3
PCIE - gen 4
CO in range of 22 - 20 (negative, of course...)
ppt/tdc/edc 170/125/125

Without Gen 3 on x16, the PC would do "idle reboot" at random but no BSOD otherwise. With above settings, it's solid 24/7 on my setup.

BTW, if you are getting BSOD, what is your stop code?

Ok, just had another BSOD. The codes vary quite a bit -

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY
Page Fault In Nonpaged Area

have been on the last four, I have had a few others but didn't make a note of them that I can find.

Specs are -

Ryzen 3600
Aorus x570 Elite now on F32
1070ti
On board audio and just a kb/mouse (corsair for what it's worth).
Corsair Dominator LPX 3600Mhz

I've updated the mb drivers using ones downloaded from Gigabyte, I've done a clean windows install, I've updated the GPU drivers and tried now 3 different BIOS versions.

I can't even run 2400mhz memory, I've tried the corsair guide and copied settings from a few forum posts.

Bit of a nightmare!

You've tried 2 sets of memory and diffrent bios versions i would be sending the motherboard back.

those sounds to me memory problems. Do you have different kit you can try for testing? No amount of drivers/windows install can fix memory issues, including lower frequency.

I've tried two different sets of memory.

In a mild rage I have put my old motherboard back in (record time of 30 minutes to swap!) with the Corsair RAM. I'll see how it goes and let you know. I'm leaning towards MB problems, either faulty or for some reason very finicky with my setup.

Thanks Paul, if I end up going back to the Gigabyte I'll try that. I only changed the MB because I couldn't tie down the fault to the RAM and didn't want lots of downtime trying to sort it...that didn't quite work out!

@Purgatory - I haven't adjusted it. If I haven't touched it would it have changed?
