Outriders

Based on comments on the ads for the game on Facebook, general consensus seems to be "this is just another Anthem" or "Wish.com version of Destiny"

Anthem hid almost everything about the game prelaunch to hide the fact there was no endgame. Outriders has shown exactly what you're getting.

It does have an Anthem feel to the world and in many ways I'm hoping it is what Anthem wasn't; story driven fun loot game.

In many ways "average" would be a good word for Outriders overall but it ticks a lot of boxes and it's learnt well from other games. I believe not being a live service model is a real advantage it has to be something focused.

So i spent 60+ hours in demo and to me it looks/feels like Diablo with guns.
While maybe visuals etc is not on par with other AAA titles,as an RPG game it feels very good, visuals is not all for me personally, and this game is exactly what i wanted from looter/shooter.
Also, devs very open about game, not like certain AAA studios.
And for cover lovers - cover in this game is NOT for us - cover is for "enemy" ;)
Maybe you playing it wrong way :)
Im getting it,not at full price tho ;)

The Devs are showing off a build a day all week. Today is a Fire Witch Pyro build that has a beam attack.

I just don't know. As fun as the gameplay is, the character movement is so janky. Thats the thing I don't like the most about it.

I totally forgot about the bank holidays AND that I'm not a retail slave anymore so I get time off work for them
Nice 4 day weekend to play on

The only issue I had with movement is that cover, while not really "meant" for the player (people spout this argument too much. It's good for moving upfield to actually get into range without just eating bullets), doesn't let you round a corner like in The Division.
You have to pop out of cover, run round the corner and then snap back into it. Plenty of time to get riddled with bullets.

They've now confirmed that when you preload on Steam the demo is auto removed / incorporated into the full game.

"PC Steam Players that have pre-loaded and no longer have access to the demo – once your preload is complete, you can reinstall the demo."
