P500, can't get RGB to work

Finally built my pc and when I booted the RGB on my fans don't seem to work. I think I messed up somewhere, where do I plug these cables to get my rgb to work?

the female connector goes onto the motherboard (check manual) or if your case has a controller on to that

i checked manual i'm so confused lol. would you mind pointing out where in the mobo i need to plug it in, please

What motherboard have you got? There should be a rgb connector, its 4 pins, check your manual for location.

As I said above, I checked my manual. I'm either completely stupid or I'm blind.

it won't fit, the cable has 3 holes and it's solid between the hole. and it the mobo has 4 pins. it wouldn't fit?

I just plugged my AIO rgb connector into the same slot as you have and it worked straight off. (Different board though) Are there any bios settings you have to toggle on?

The Jrainbow you have tried looks to be correct (and 5v). have you tried the other Jrainbow at the opposite end of the motherboard, and i assume you have tried to enable the RGB in bios and /or MSI software

I fixed it. I'm so dumb, amongst the bunch of cables there was a sata cable which needed to be connected to the psu.

you shouldnt need a SATA cable, its gets the power from the header. the SATA cable would normally used if your controlling the RGB from the case

No idea then lol. Having the sata plugged in won't do any harm right?

No it powers the case rgb.
