I think I can safely say you are probably going to be disappointed - like the rest of us. :(

Besides which, they'd need to start arriving at rate of 20 a week just to get yours before the 1 year mark. They're currently 'averaging' 7 a week since launch - ignoring the lack of any real supply in over a month.

People that ordered on launch hour are still waiting with hundreds behind them in each queue.
If you really want a 3080, buy one from a scalper. I'm serious.

Stock alerts aren't fast enough, every merchant sells out restocks within 1 second, no exaggeration. 1 second.

Yesterday, I idly started looking for bots to use on the Nvidia site, which is the only one worth targeting since they have to sell at MSRP to maintain the fiction these cards aren't expensive. :rolleyes:

Basically, you need a bot to fight bots. No idea if any still work on the Nvidia site though, and everyone else will be selling for hundreds over MRSP now.

Out of interest, what is your budget for a GPU?
Most here ordered for at or near MSRP, but the actual buy price of a 3080 is now higher than the 2080Ti in its prime, so £500-600 more than what I'd consider reasonable.

I don't get why people even still do this, you can get unlimited everything sim only plans for around £20 a month and buy whichever phone you want sim free.

I gave up on high end phones a long time ago and am happy with my £70 Moto E4 and unlimited everything sim for £22 pm.

I sold my R9 295x2 for 315GBP - ebay fees. So I think that I can aim at around 900GBP
 
Hey guys I’m 5 in the que for a strix 3080 OC when @Gibbo said yesterday they are getting 5 in I was really happy finally after a 7 month wait I should be getting it ‍♂️ When he says incoming how long am I looking at before dispatch? I have the weekend off work and a full custom water cooled pc that needs cleaning and draining before I put the new card in so a bit of a heads up would be nice on when it’s likely to be dispatched, would even pay for Saturday delivery if it’s today lol

would think its going to be a few days yet if incoming, has to be unpacked booked in, plus dont get too excited, if there are any rma's they will get preferential treatment - dont want to take the wind out of your sails but nothing wrong in looking on the bright side!
 
haha i know just after a almost 7 month wait i can see light at the end of the tunnel now. i know whats going to happen my first day back in work DPD will deliver it lmao ill just wanna get home then light a kid on Christmas!
 
for anyone else wanting to know i asked OC on email this was the reply

Thank you for contacting us Matthew, our warehouse team is processing the new GPU deliveries now and they will be shipped out over the next few working days :)
