Looking for an additional 2 sticks of Ram to match my existing 2/8gb

Whatever you drop in is going to resort to the higher timmings if not matched but there's a chance they won't play nice. Getting 16gb of teamgroup with tight timmings is gonna cost £ 170 unless you can find some on the bay.

£170 will get 32gb of 3600mhz memory with looser timmings ..

Choices.

My rabbit hole came up with https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3200mhz-dual-channel-kit-black-my-08l-tg.html
Run at the looser 16 cas for compatibility.

Otherwise I'd recommened https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...-3200mhz-dual-channel-kit-blac-my-0a2-tg.html
same manufacturer but looser timings

WEll thanks for looking.

I bought these https://www.overclockers.co.uk/king...00c16-3200mhz-dual-channel-kit-my-28u-ks.html
earlier today. Hopefully they will do the trick.

If not, I'll just cry :)

Just match the timings and speeds to the slowest (or try overclocking) and I suspect you'll be fine, make sure they are also in their own channels, check your mb manual for channel setup, normally 1-3 and 2-4

Ok, thanks for the info. WIll do :)

So I currently have two of these in my rig
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...nnel-kit-black-red-tdprd416g32-my-075-tg.html

And I'm looking to do a small upgrade to 32gb.

As these are no longer available, what is a like for like drop in or do I need to look at an alternative solution (like 2/16gb) and spend extra?

Thanks

TBh just sell them, and get a set of 16GB x2, it'll cost you the same if you pick up something like Crucial Ballistix 3200MHz, ~£130, and sell yours for £65-80

Turn off the XMP (is it SMP) settings and let them revert back to super slow? Then set them manually or use the XMP again?

Choose "Default Settings", "Reset" or whatever it's called in the BIOS. Then save and exit. Switch off, drain PSU power. Add the new RAM. Start it up, try add XMP.

If there is a "Link" (or similar choice) option in BIOS, the new sticks in the secondary Dual Channels slots will copy the XMP settings for the old sticks in your primary Dual Channel slots. Just depends on how the motherboard does things. Yours may do it without fuss.
