That's absolutely NOT what's happening, we haven't turned down a single card...even today we've raised a quarter million pound graphics order which includes 3080s at around £850 and 3090s at over £1500. Every brand is raising prices weekly, yet we are still buying.

I don't think anyone can answer that question. If you actually really want a card and aren't missing the money staying in the cue and hunting for an alternative somewhere else is probably the best option. If your not really that bothered about getting the card and could use the money for other things in the mean time, cancel and check back next year. It looks like even Nvidia are admitting it's not going to be back to normal this year.
We've had nothing for a couple of months, the two deliveries prior to that were short shipped (the distributor claimed that they went missing) and there's nothing on the latest email of lines due to be shipped from the factory for us (Which is pretty much the next three weeks worth). That's as much as we know.
