Yeah sounds like it unfortunately. The Series X is a much better design and a far better built machine if you ask me. The PS5 does feel a bit rushed it’s a great console but not a great design.

Hopefully you can get it sorted without resorting to Sony again.

Can't do much till the screw driver turns up don't have a Torx one.

Gonna browse YouTube today for any other video guides for reseating the fan with or without O rings.

Wish I wasn't so picky but it's just not right. My Series X in the same position on the desk or living room is completely silent you just cannot hear it from the first time I turned it on.

Just got a bad PS5 unfortunately least I didn't pay scalper prices. Still a great console and very happy with it.
Yep definitely just a dodgy one, I've still never heard the fan on my one. Only noise I've heard is the disk drive spinning. First heatwave in the summer will be the real test. My old PS4 used to actually overheat and shutdown occasionally despite sounding like a Harrier taking off

I'm happy whichever way they go but my OCD won't allow a white brick sat alongside black bricks in my AV cabinet, even with a door hiding them :o :(
Sorry if my reply came across as a bit snappy :p I would imagine it’ll be plates, they’re struggling to make the white consoles as it is. :D I could be wrong though!

Just watching the Digital Foundry video on the Xbox Series X FPS boost, is the PS5 capable of doing this too in the future or do we just have to wait for developers to patch their games?

As it looks like Microsoft is just bypassing developers and implementing this to a huge amount of games to run better

Its only possible to do this on Xbox because all the games run in a separate operating system with virtualised hardware. MS can trick the games into doing all sorts of things because of this. Most of these games will never get any updates on PS5 as the developers have moved on.

Ah that's a shame, but good to know

Get the HotStock app and pay for the premium. Its about £4 and is always the first to send notifications.

Does John Lewis reserve in basket or is broken like the other retailers?

Really seems like way to go is via the apps, websites seem broken on most retailers.

What a show, shopto drop, joined 3000 in queue, got to front, website wouldnt load missing images etc. was hard to even tell if any in stock, after 5 minutes of trying back in queue at 20k.

No way this is easier than ordering a 3080 FE.

Normal? What on earth is happening to it? That looks like the plastic is warping from something pushing on it inside. How can that be normal?! I'm not sure I'd be happy to accept that as normal behaviour of something costing almost £500...

It's part of the plastic moulding process. Also, underneath the casing in this spot is a hook where it keeps the faceplate attached to the console. This is intended and isn't an issue.

RMA if you want, but, they all have them.

guys, does anyone know what and when we are getting the next play at home free full game... as horizon zero dawn finishes today.. thanx :)
