6700xt in stock at ocuk

I bet the cost from distributor is £600 then. If this keeps up then GPUs will be "available to order" only, as retailers won't want to take the gamble on buying cards at these prices forever knowing a crash will happen at some point.
Yes, I didn't mean that Overclockers were scalping, I know they are paying very high prices to distributors and I do hope they don't lose out on these cards themselves if they don't sell.

AMD's MSRPs are as fictional as Nvidia's

To give you some idea, the MSRP for the upcoming 6700XT MBA is exactly the same as our COST price. So they expect us to make nothing...not even cover our costs...
erm....no, that's not happening.

Worse still, AIB cards are usually more expensive to make than MBA/Founders, so when they start coming through we're going to be well over "MSRP"

This was posted last week

I think MSRP is dead by all reports the vendors are paying 500+ for the rx6700 now minimum

600+ on some cards

We can't help that 6700 XTs are now coming into us at nearly £300 more than the cost at launch.

It's still in stock isn't it?

That's the point. We have to collectively refuse to buy cards at these crazy prices before they will start to go down again. If they sell them all at this price - the price isn't going to budge.
Surely from a business perspective it makes no sense having gpu's sat in shelf at a high price when you can turn over those cards in a flash at a lower price.

I would say quite the opposite, it's not like they won't sell very soon.

Probably, we are just so used to things selling out in seconds! I'm sure they will sell. Many people still have a great need for for a decent card and have been waiting to have a choice from a reputable retailer.

When the mining bubble bursts, the market is going to be flooded with used cards. That's when I expect to see prices fall significantly.

we thought this last time though and it never really materialised. Large scale miners continued mining believing that it would come back around, which it did. Small scale/home miners might have sold off their cards but there wasn't hundreds/thousands of cards suddenly on the market.

£900 for a 6700XT.
The bloody RRP for the 6700XT is over the top, but to sell them at that price point.

Absolute greed throughout the entire bloody chain.

Bet that stock hasn't just arrived and it's been sat on though, artificially restraining supply.

Super pleased to see these and the 3700 cards coming into stock. I should have sold me RTX2070 super on ebay whilst I had the chance..! The 3070 at 3 x MSRP is still too steep for me. I think I'll wait for a while, I'd be tempted to pay that for an RTX 3080 but deffo not a 3070. I know one of the competitors had a water cooled 3080 in stock for a few moments this morning but that requires a swap out of my AIO which will add a few hundred pounds more..

Can buy a 3070 for £1200 or a full system with a 3070 in it for £1700?

OcUK making a loss on the system builds or just lying about how much they are costing to source?

Could there eventually be a negative impact on the wider enthusiast PC component and gaming businesses? If it's only going to be miners and an 'elite' group who can afford these high GPU prices, then surely this will eventually spell trouble for everyone in the medium-long term? What's the point of building a PC if you can't afford a GPU?

However, if the bubble is not going to burst, then semiconductor manufacturers will have to hedge their bets and invest in the capacity needed to meet demand - I believe this is already happening.

More of a case of developers not wasting time on tech nobody owns. Nvidia and AMD are not very smart, you need to put your product into gamer's hands and not miners/scalpers. Greed has taken over.

i know of 2 companies selling 3070 rigs for 1400- 1500 was tempting myself, but going back to console gaming once a msrp ps5 is available

I've got old stock of 3070 for system builds, just as I've got old stock of 6700 XT MBA & 6800 MBA. Once this stock runs down the system pricing goes up.
I've explained numerous times how the manufacturers split the supply between system business and retail business. The fact that we're not profiteering should be a good thing, not something to use as ammunition to to beat us down over retail pricing.

Pretty sure you've been holding onto GPU's and not selling them separately, or are you saying all this current listed stock has appeared just now?

No wonder its in stock its the same money I paid for a 6800xt Nitro+

Still to some this is a card at a price that can actually be purchased so thats no bad thing.
