*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Crazy I was sitting in a long queue with no end, then I got lucky and ordered a 6800xt OC yesterday and have it in hand today.
Hope things improve for you guys best of luck.

How did you manage it? every time I get an alert on discord by the time I click on the link it's out of stock
was it msrp or inflated?

I paid £1011 total from one of the other popular sites. Any spare time u get just keep looking and the odd one or two pop up on there. I didn’t even get an alert I just got lucky I guess.

I have seen some 3090s pop up, one even being a TUF, but they are far too expensive for me to justify. If they were close to MSRP then I would have been tempted. But, they are disappearing not long after so I guess they are worth that much to some people.

Jesus, that's double msrp. The 6900xt was supposed to be around there. I couldn't allow myself to be ripped off like that

Well I have £3000 worth of gear sitting doing nothing waiting for the last part for the build and like Gibbo or Scotti said it could end up getting discontinued at worst. So I paid extra £270 just to put an end to it.

does anyone else keep getting 'queue updates' from OCS on their 3080 card, except there is no update at all and your position hasn't changed in over a month?

Oh I understand, I just personally couldn't allow myself to do it

I take it you haven't seen the recent posts from gibbo. You may want to take a look at those (ie don't expect your queue number to change any time soon)

AMD's MSRPs are as fictional as Nvidia's

To give you some idea, the MSRP for the upcoming 6700XT MBA is exactly the same as our COST price. So they expect us to make nothing...not even cover our costs...
erm....no, that's not happening.

Worse still, AIB cards are usually more expensive to make than MBA/Founders, so when they start coming through we're going to be well over "MSRP"

Can you just revisit that I`m going cross eyed. Thanks.
:)

This is just my opinion and not based on any fact. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Nvidia are prioritising building and stock piling 3080Ti cards for a release this year... even in the coming months if the “rumours” are to be believed.

just makes me laugh, little already released 3xxx GPU stock coming through so hey they must be creating 3080ti's. lol. At that rate taking into account the above TSMC posts you should get a 3080ti maybe this time next year and then again 10 for the UK, unless its EVGA who are six months behind and OCUK wont get any of those anyway.

That's a complete and utter lie. I can see the stock is still in the warehouse allocated, sorry if you are one of the affected and you want to cancel, feel free, it just means that we'll allocate the card to another customer.
That's not true, the stock is not assigned, my card was sold to another customer and I now have to wait for new stock to come in despite my shipping being now sorted with DHL. Opened a web note and was advised that the card was sent to another customer during the delay. I again queried this by web note and got a snotty reply saying this was already answered and that this is the system, that my card was sent to another customer and I will have to wait for more stock to come in.

I have again queried this by web note as it is contrary to everything we have been told here, but regardless the system they have gone with is that your stock is not assigned and is given to whoever else is waiting, regardless of your queue position

One and only one UK reseller is recieving stock from EVGA. It happens to be the one UK reseller who uses EVGA almost exclusively as their graphic card brand for system business.
Not even EVGA's official UK distributor is receiving stock, EVGA are instead shipping direct.
Fair? No
Legal? Grey area
That's who I was referring to. Apologies, should've been clearer.

I wouldn't be surprised if other AIBs are favouring certain territories or regions over others, or even distributors. The whole thing is just a mess.

checking back in on this thread after a few months, not surprised the situation is worse. Wondering if OC's policy of taking funds immediately is at the root of some of the problems. With the prices officially having gone up and thousands of folks hanging on for cards that are now £100-£300 more expensive. Wouldn't put it past the board partners screwing over consumers and etailers alike. Pretty sure OC can't eat the price hike for all those cards and pretty sure the manufacturers therefore have to honour cards ordered and paid for at the cheaper prices. If OC did what other companies do and only debit funds as the cards shipped how many folks would have kept trying elsewhere end up paying more then cancelling the OC order.

Was stated earlier OC do not order the cards when we put the orders in (back in September) they only put orders in when cards become available to bid on at Distributors. So they end up paying more than the original asking price.

Seems to me a better practice would be put bids in direct with factory, when the product went live in the first place and cut out the crap middle men.

Waiting to bid on cards that come available seems a very poor system to get your stock.

I mean, I ordered 2 days after launch and I'm still 400 in the queue for the non OC TUF card so I'd imagine there are still people who ordered it on launch day that are waiting ahead of me in that queue. What a ridiculous situation!

Yep, website blew up under the load at release time, so thought nothing of placing my order at 21:30 when it had all cooled off - I mean it was only going to be a week or two until the new stock came in, right? Right? Right??!?!?!:eek::eek::eek:

34th in the XC3 Black queue, and currently wondering if I’ll get it before my birthday at the end of June.

What odds will folk give me? :p

3.142 : E=MC2 should be about the right odds as long as you put the XC3 in the box with Schrodinger's Cat... :D:eek::rolleyes::p;)

Frankly, this is defnitely more of a quantum, will/will not the card actually/never exist, type question!
