*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

@Gibbo is there any chance that you could upgrade a 3080 ventus or two just to move the queue along a bit because there has never been a 3080 ventus upgrade that I know of

@ScottiB do you have any 3080 ventus spare for retail.

the main reason why I have been asking is the 3080 ventus queue has almost not moved at all since Christmas and loads of other 3080 cards have had upgrades or some form of movement

I have already read previous posts of why the ventus cant be upgraded but look at my previous post linked below

one thing i don't understand is why has every 3080 had a few cards upgraded but Ventus 3080 has had none.
why couldn't they upgrade 5 ventus just so they can move the queue a little.
i have heard that they lose money when upgrading ,but it is cheaper to upgrade the ventus than some others. even if it did cost more, upgrading 5 ventus wouldn't lose too much.
if you think i am being selfish or something i just see that a one time upgrade of 5 ventus cards(roughly £1000 total) is not much compared to the £40M~ they get per year

Had my parts sitting in my room since around December now just been waiting on a gpu, tried looking on Facebook and other sources but I haven’t managed to find anything and I’m still around the 600s in the queue for the tuf non oc.

Watching Gamers Nexus earlier and they said the new LHR cards were announced today. The existing models will remain by board partners but will also have LHR variants (Example 3080 TUF OC LHR). I am curious if thsi is the case will people in the queues be given the LHR models or have to cancel and re order?

This.
I am wondering myself as I wait for my RTX 3080 STRIX nonOC since day one in one of retailers in Poland. Of they cancel my order after 9 months of waiting it will be a little bit annoying, wouldnt it? I lost my trust to this retailer as they wont even provide me simple info like what is my place in the queue and now ill prpbably lost my hopesnfor PC Gaming and after 26 years being proud member of PCMR I might buy the console. The sad thing is I was supposed to have my GPU 9 months ago so I lost a lot of time already I could spend playin games etc.

it has been more than three months since MSI gave us any 3080 Ventus for either side of the business.

You have a point with the "making things worse". Naive to think scalpers wouldn't charge that much anyway however.

Hopefully price will go down when LHR and TI comes out. Im tired of everyone scalping and ripping off the customers.
We need all online retailers to sell at MSRP not taking advantage of the situation and ripping off us customers

I'm hopeful but not confident based on the expected launch price of the 3080Ti. If it does happen I don't think it'll be fast.

The price will never go down unless if the supply improves dramatically.
This is a worst time to be a PC gamer
I would agree, seen a few spikes over the years but this is beyond belief. I can understand latest gen going for big money, but 5+ year old kit going for these prices is mad. Geniune gamers are forced into buying inadequate gpu's for the latest games at a 'reasonable' budget. I think thats the worst part of it.

Are you able to share the expected launch price?
We don't know, nothing has been officially announced, not even the launch date I believe.

We have a fair idea when it will launch but Nvidia don't appear to have put anything in writing yet.

I know May was said to be a slow month for 3080's which it seems to be proving to be, but have you guys had any indications or forecasts on stock for June? I'm 46 in the queue for the 3080 Tuf OC, so close to where I started I can almost see the it....

I know! I hate asking for updates as I'm sure Scotti and Gibbo are probably sick of it at this point, but the news of the new cards coming out has me a little nervous, after patiently waiting since the start of October it would be like a kick in the nuts if things went wrong now,
