I've not actually been trying up to this point, but with some titles like Horizon looming, and the absolute state of GPU pricing putting me off an upgrade, I set up the alerts. Snagged a disc one just now.

I'm extremely frugal. I do luxury spending at times especially when on holiday like before the pandemic in LA, Vegas and Vancouver, the minimum I go on holiday for is 3-4 weeks now.

Anyway I just got a disc as well that's 2 consoles arriving tomorrow.

Same here, so close yet so far. I feel bad for wanting another to extend my warranty but glad to see some people here got some, Psycho notwithstanding.

I tried as soon as I got the alert. Page after pages of "We're sorry, something went wrong."
"Your basket is empty."
"1 item has been removed from your basket because it is no longer available."

And this was IMMEDIATELY on getting the alert.

I'm FAR from alone, there are a ton of really ***** people on Twitter saying all they got was error pages.

Not even Amazon can handle the server load :(

e: I tried Amazon, Amazon Smile, Add To List and ALL the other suggestions.

Frankly, it's just a crap shoot.

There is a workaround to get one from Amazon and no it isn't wishlist.

Send me a trust message and I'll let you in on it on the basis that you don't post it on a public forum.

If it's a crap shoot how did I get 2 off one account? There is a workaround to jump the queue.

Talking about crap shoot I was literally on the bog taking a dump ordering them both. So I wasn't on a pc as you can see screenshot is of my phone

Well apparently you're using some workaround to not add to basket?

I did everything I possible could. Clicked the link the instant the alert happened on Discord.

Never even allowed to add to the basket. Just endless "We're sorry something went wrong."

I couldn't have done anything differently. It IS a crapshoot. Some people here got one and gratz to them. I can't imagine I did anything differently. It's just luck.
 
Managed to nab the Digital version, yes I have a disc one but that'll be getting sold! Just got to order some games whilst Days of Play sale is on.

Amazon is definitely a lot easier to get using Smile/Wishlist.

Which Discord are you on? 'Stock Checker' has the best alerts that I've come across.

As a bonus **** you Amazon has signed me up for Prime (which I didn't ask for) despite not completing my console order. How does that work??!

It wouldn't let me check out but it's signed me up for Prime. FML.

Narp. The "plebs" know full well about Smile as it's linked from the various Twitter PS5 checkers. E.g.:

^^Look at the comments. Mostly people who got error pages and couldn't add to basket, or complete the transaction. Hopeless.
