*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Ordered mid October. Believe i started around 400 in queue for the Giga 3080 Gaming OC. Been at 9th in queue since May 14th.

No idea what to do. Wait another month or longer with the possibility of never getting it if they solely produce 3080ti's!? Attempt to order a 3080ti for at least £400 more!?

Nvidia shouldn't have started producing the new TI cards until later in the year after they had fulfilled far more orders. Just corporate greed & a total disrespect to customers.

From what I've read so far there hasn't been any confirmed wording of cancelling various SKUs outright (just a transition over to LHR chips, though I've no idea what that would logistically mean for the queues), and considering you're 9th in the queue, I'd definitely hang on for a bit longer to see what the state of play is over the next couple of weeks, if I were you.

I ordered around the same time in a different queue and I'm sitting at position 318. I'm most likely going to stay in the queue and follow the guidance the chaps at HQ provide, once the landscape gets a bit clearer. Depending on the ticket price for it, I may involve myself in the rush to get a Strix 3080 Ti (should such a beast exist!), though I can't see the wood through the trees at the moment. Hopefully there's more information provided today about what's happening tomorrow.

are you looking at upgrading to the 3080 TI in hopes of actually receiving it?....
are OC planning on doing anything for those STILL waiting for their cards? i would've personally loved to see an option to upgrade and be put in some form of priority queue but i can understand how hard that would be considering there are still so many of us..
This has been covered by both myself and Gibbo in the last 24 hours, but to summarise.
no, we don't want to risk "queue jumping" backlash and we don't want to risk meltdown of the phone lines. Therefore there will be no 3080Ti sold via the phones, instead we are looking at the possibility of selling them via voucher codes.

Sorry to quench any optimism but the only LHR cards that we've had information about so far are 3060 "V2" and nobody has confirmed whether or not "V1" will be discontinued, so it's still too early to say what's going to happen. What you should read into earlier comments is that we are looking at what options are available in case the cards that were back ordered are discontinued.

cheers for clearing that up - just seems that those still waiting may or may not have much of an option when it comes to these new cards - would you recommend waiting it out with the GPU possibly get discontinued? or cancel and go for TI version and be possibly be in the same situation as i'm in now?
I'd recommend what I've been recommending for months. Try to get a card wherever you can and then once you have it in your hand, cancel your pre-order. It's silly to sit on your hands in hope that something comes through, especially with the looming threat that the original models might all be discontinued.
@ScottiB @Gibbo Do the manufacturers give you guys updates on what stock / projections of what to expect you might be receiving for cards? Are you able to shed any light on how things are looking or has the news this week put all of that on hold?
There's no standard practice. It varies massively from one manufacturer to another.

Things are looking crap, as they have for months.

I have a question guys, I couldn't find it in the forum.
I purchased Gainward RTX 3080 Phoenix, It has arrived. But I have doubt that it has LHR, there is nothing on the box, I don't know Gainward is showing to the customer, do you know how we can understand if it has LHR without opening the box? Gainward is similar to Palit, it could help that Palit answer as well I guess..

When did you buy it? 99% sure it doesn't.

If it was LHR model the name would be 3080 Phoenix LHR, You have a non LHR version

I do not believe any LHR cards have hit the market. Best thing to do is ask the manufacturer, mentioning the serial number.
I have already asked, they have just email support. Let's see if they return to that.
On the other hand, on their website, they put the same card with the same details and with the same serial and part numbers, but the naming on the site product title has V1 and in details it says LHR.

Without LHR product: https://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=1088&lang=en
With LHR product: https://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=1119&lang=en

Nvidia said they should put it on the box, but we don't know if they did or did not.
Maybe they are trying to take advantage of the sale without giving details if it is LHR.

The Gainward site is confusing, possibly a copy and paste of the original specs.

What part no and bar code is on your box?

The new packaging is supposed to make it clear what version it is. Also the seller should clearly state which version they are selling. Have you contacted them?

Edit - the part no. NED3080019IA-132AX was released last year so that is definitely the original, non-LHR version.

Sorry, I've not been here for a while so I'm sure this has been discussed many times over the past weeks.

Will OCUK be using the ridiculous "take as many paid preorders as we possibly can" approach, or will it just be a first come first served situation when they are actually in stock?

Also on top of that, will there be any anti-bot measures in place like what some competitors have. I'm just trying to figure out which site I put the most energy into at launch in my quest to get a 3080ti at MSRP. Thanks.

The details are:
Barcode: 4710562241952
Part Number: NED3080019IA-132AX

As I shared before, their site shows the same numbers for both cards.
I read somewhere a few weeks earlier, 3rd parties will use the same barcodes, what a mess this is.

Hi, if you just read the previous 4-5 pages you will get an idea of how it's going.;)

As I said in my original post that I edited, that part number is from a 2020 product.

Have you contacted the seller as I suggested?

I've seen the opposite. Nvidia have said the cards will be clearly marked.

I've done a quick search and can't see any 3080 LHR versions for sale in the UK. I'm not convinced they're out yet.

I have contacted also the seller, I opened a ticket on their website waiting for their response.
At the beginning of May, there was news that they were identical, in mid-may Nvidia said there should listing and box identification for difference.

Anyway will see, waiting for the manufacturer and seller response.
