Can't decide between RX 6700XT, RTX 3060 or 3060Ti

FE cards, telegram app (phone), Part Alert and then a good slice of luck.

If you can stretch to a 3070FE (469) add it to your shortlist of 3060 and 3060ti. 6700XT - I have no idea how you can get this for close to rrp.
The 6700XT is terrible value for money at current prices. The FE route is the way to go. There are plenty of posts on here of people managing to get one in recent drops. The one card per purchaser rule does seem to be helping.

You qualify for member deals on post count but not on membership length (180 days).

If OcUK do the member sales again, you may get a lowish price on these sometime soon? :)

Definitely checks out, as a vega owner and a 290x owner before that, my driver updates always gave solid performance and occasional improvements to usually beat the nvidia equivalent at the time.

Hard sell on the raytracing front. But we know RIS was way better than people realised and AMD driver control panel is far more feature packed than nvidia's. If FSR is as good as it looks like being, the only hindrance to overcome stopping you from going for an AMD card is its silly prices right now.

The 6700XT fighter OcUK sold was a stonking deal, which is why I think if Gibbo can get close to that figure on another AIB it would be a sensible choice for sure!

Price is definitely a limiting factor. If I was given the choice I would pick the RX 6700XT over the 3060TI. However, as other members suggested the FE 3060Ti near MRSP is much better value for money. Don't think I will be able to get my hands on a 6700XT sub £500. I'm unfortunately not part of the privileged members club having only just recently joined overclockers. So my chances of a good deal for the 6700XT are even slimmer.

I thought Gibbo was looking at forum pages that were different than the MM restrictions to allow for regular low activity folk to have a chance at the deals?

I didn't know about that, I'm still quite fresh to this forum so not familiar with all the ins and outs, well I'll keep an eye out for any deals that come my way.

Delayed response as I've been offline.

There were threads like this popping up as they were trying to enable what I was trying to describe a few posts earlier:
Has the "GPU Voucher" subforum gone? Or... have I lost permission somehow?

To the effect of this:

I'm not going mad! ;)

Not trying to get into an argument but based on the restrictions in place, it's not good advice to say wait for a deal as the OP only joined a month before;)
50+ posts & 180 days membership

Good post. So at RRP anyway, theory would be the 6700xt vs 3070 is more then reasonable. I agree on the AMD drivers, I had vega and they did a good job I just didnt realise the cpu thing was so relevant but dx12 being a difficult beast isnt news. I think both sides will improve as knowledge improves and we move away from dx11, its vulcan as well I hope

Hi, sorry for noob question - I have the Telegram app, but I can't find the part list alerts group. Should it just be in the search, or do I need an invite or similar? Have obviously googled, to no avail.
The telegram group is called "FE Partalert" there are links in this group that branch out to 3060TI/3070/3080 PartAlert. But the alerts are inclusive of EU merchants which is not so relevant. I've also not had any luck so far. I'll keep an eye out and if I manage to grab a card, I'll update this thread with my experience.

Thanks for this! I found it now. I think the fuzzy logic the search does is just really bad (or bad for finding that particular group). Will be interested to hear about your experience with it - I'll do the same.

with my posting activity it may still take ages ;)
yeah, I could probably abuse it right now, but don't like exploits ;)
I'm in the same boat, slowly working my way towards min. post count. But, with prices now dropping we'll probably get to snag a GPU at a reasonable price before receiving any members discount.

always a chance, but then there is a question, what is a reasonable price? certainly we should forget about msrp prices, which probably were too low anyway, but now, how much higher?
well, supply needs to be sorted out first!
having said that, once prices will start dropping, members discount deals may dry up anyway.
