If you’re needing to sound your horn it’s already too late, the incident has most likely already happened.
Surely that goes for your chav exhaust too?

Of course it does, you don’t have to act ignorant to the positive sides of a loud exhaust.Surely that goes for your chav exhaust too?
Well if a super loud exhaust is necessary for safety, anyone daft enough to ride a near silent electric bike has pretty much signed their own death warrant.Well hopefully not!

Nowhere have I said it’s necessary to have a loud exhaust, I said it helps drivers be more aware of bikes on the road.Well if a super loud exhaust is necessary for safety, anyone daft enough to ride a near silent electric bike has pretty much signed their own death warrant.
You did say it's the "most important reason" you bought a loud exhaust though, which implies it's pretty safety critical.Nowhere have I said it’s necessary to have a loud exhaust, I said it helps drivers be more aware of bikes on the road.
Yeah the most important reason to me, not everyone else. You did say it's the "most important reason" you bought a loud exhaust though, which implies it's pretty safety critical.
It's not really though is it? You bought it because you like it and the sound of your bike with a nice exhaust, so just say that.
Any perceived benefit to safety is a secondary convenience, nobody is genuinely going out buying new exhausts as a safety feature.
The noise increase to the car you want to take notice ie in front of you is minimal as your exhaust is facing the other way and you’re heading towards them.
I just want to see people embrace the fact they buy these things because they enjoy them above all else, there's nothing wrong with that being the primary purpose for buying an exhaust rather than pretending it was some sort of safety purchase that happens to be enjoyable.
Not really. The exhaust is more of a constant reminder. The equivalent with a horn would be to hold it down everywhere you rode. Surely that would be more annoying?
With me a loud exhaust on my bike was a fantasy that I was a cool racing biker. Whereas I was rattling around on an SV650.
I was probably 10 years old the last time I bought Lego. I often see some kits that take my fancy but have always decided against it, until yesterday. I'm not even really a motor racing fan, just seemed like a decent deal in Costco. Was fun to build.

This beer is as boring tasting as they come, but I've been wanting to try using these mini kegs with homebrew for a while. If you buy them empty they cost about £10, so when these popped up on Amazon at £10 for 2, I snapped them up. Just got a lot of old man dishwater beer to drink now

Doom bars lovely, particularly as a bit of a session Ale.
Everyone's taste is different obviously, but it's a bit too bland for my taste. I do like real ale but this is one of the worst for me. It's a pretty poor example of an Amber too, which I also like.
Some new (to me) knives

Or sound it as you approach a junction?
Yeah it’s best just to keep quiet if you don’t actually ride one yourself.![]()
