Banned on twitter for this tweet #AWESOMEALLDAYLONG #teamcanada

Are those saying that they’re unfamiliar with the common expression “all day long” setting a trap into which I’ve blithely wandered?
e.g. After a wild party, who would you rather wake up with, Kathy Burke or Kate Beckinsale? Beckinsale all day long.
Who’s the last guy you’d want managing your football club? Joey Barton all day long.
Who do you support in the Olympics? Canada all day long!
Get it?

Not really, as I still don't see what the issue is with 'Cananda' + 'all day long'. You should to be allowed to support whatever team you like without being restricted by a badly-programmed algorithm.

Where on a forum like here, suspicious posts are huan-checked and they (the Dons) can decide whether to suspend someone over it. Plus, the Dons can be contacted and they can tell you why you got suspended and whether it can be appealed.

I’ve no idea why the OP was banned for saying “Canada all day long”, I’m just explaining what the expression “all day long” means.
Essentially it accentuates what you’re proclaiming, another example would be, if someone asked what would you prefer, grave digging 8 hours per day for minimum wage, or rubbing sun screen oil on beautiful women for 8 hours per day at £150 per day, most guys would say, “rubbing sun screen oil”, all day long.
It wouldn’t mean that they wanted to rub the oil in all day long, it means that that would definitely be their preference every time.

Happens all the time. My daughters youtube account was banned when she posted a video of herself singing lol Thing is, there is no way of getting it back. You can't ring anyone as they all say it's not their department, and nobody reads the web forms you are supposed to fill it. Everything is all automated for accounts, so no chance of getting anything back. Very common these days.

Yes. Your only chance of actually appealing a ban (as opposed to the wholly automated pretend appeal system which does nothing) is to have enough influence to acquire human attention and to force the issue as hard as possible. It doesn't matter why you were banned. People lying about you. Copyright trolls. Whatever. Youtube (and other platforms) don't care unless there's a possibility of adverse publicity. Youtube (and probably other platforms) won't even tell banned people why they've been banned. Even bigger channels on Youtube, big enough for Youtube to pretend to give them special attention, just get a bot to "talk" to. It's not necessarily better if you reach a human as they might not tell you anything anyway. I've encountered that, to a lesser extent and not on Youtube. I asked why I'd been given a warning and a person replied but wouldn't tell me why. Or maybe it was a bot. It's not always possible to tell. But at least you have a chance if you can reach a human and that's impossible for almost everyone on Youtube. It usually takes several other fairly large channels co-ordinating a campaign with their viewers to generate enough influence to get any attention from anyone at Youtube.

And yet I only got a warning and had to delete a Tweet to regain access to my account when I called Tony Blair a 'corrupt, slimy **** of the highest order'. Wonder what the parameters are for deciding betwixt a ban and a warning.

You expressed an opinion of an individual based on your assessment of their actions. A harshly insulting opinion, but still an opinion. The person you're replying to committed libel, falsely accusing someone of a serious crime. I think that's a significant difference. Also, they'd had previous warnings that were still in play.

Somebody above said it was because he shared a video that shouldn't be shared (copyright) although there should be a warning.
I had a day ban for sharing Stoke City scoring a goal because of copyright issues.

The IOC have sold the rights to broadcast any Olympic media and even an athlete has had a video of her with her gold medal deleted from online.
That's most likely the reason, unless you've been shady:D

Maybe this. I have friends who have had tweets deleted celebrating the British horse riding success in the olympics as the image or video they used violates broadcasting rights.

Stoke City scoring a goal?
Who was on the throne, Edward V11, or was it an own goal?
Just kidding Foxy, we West Hammers are like that.
We have to have a sense of humour!
