Just a shame it makes for terrible racing. Looks fantastic for quali laps though.

Banked turns themselves don't make racing crap. Look at the final turn at Indy (f1 layout), it allowed cars to set themselves up for the straight. If the rest of the circuit isn't up to it, that's not the fault of the banking.

Just not feeling this as a race track with current F1 cars. Feel it's either going to be mayhem and chaos with cars going off all over the place or a procession.

Suspecting more the latter though.

I think it will be a procession with brief interludes of mayhem to break it up.

I do think the moments of mayhem have the possibility of deciding the result though through safety car pitting etc.

Pretty sure this is said about every single track in the f1 calendar... until they bother to drastically change the cars its always going to be this way.

At least this time for Mercedes they have bottas in a handy position. If he can stay with them then it makes the strategy call very difficult for red bull.
