i run mine in auto Sport+, the AMG is very noisy when you floor it, but this weekend i floored it out on the main roads towards Christchurch, but slowly around here.Thats got more to do with what gear you're in thought surely, although I guess it's not got many (3 or 4?).
You got your Evo yet?
Good to see you there yesterday
Some very fine machinery on display indeed and some pretty unusual stuff as well. Absolutely worth the hefty admission fee!
One thing that really struck me at Salon Prive and other events this year, the amount of Pistas. Dozens of them and I've only seen one Speciale all year, an LHD Aperta at that. Also never see a Challenge Stradale / Scud really. That Orange Pista is owned by a chap near me, have met up with him a few times as part of SCC. Also owns a GT3, Perf, DBS, AM GT12 and ofcourse a GR Yaris.

4C looks so small next to supercars!

What did you pay out of interest? Think we might of got good rates due to our group knowing the Duke, was like £30 each for us which seemed very fair, it is a shame they were not allowing anyone run the hill climb though, would have been great fun to blast down it. The 765LT I think did one of the best runs, literally had the tyres spinning down the entire straight.
Good seeing you and great to catch up.![]()
I paid £97 for the two of us (which included access to the palace itself). I declined the £650 lunch fee![]()
Likewise, apparently they were there every other day but left Saturday night? Weird. Also a bit worrying the Artura didn't move all day (Elva/LT did) and they wouldn't let anyone open the doors....Not sure if ours were discounted or not, was £60 for us both, so thought it was fair and worth the money, only let down is I was expecting Lotus to be there as I have still not seen an Emira in the flesh and was really hoping to see one and sit in one.

This could be a good price on a 599 to give you an idea of what they can go for if you get lucky with timing:

Cheers, good spot. Need at least one property transaction to unstick itself before I could even think of this, realistically I'm not buying this year or early next but it is good to keep a close eye on the market.
I did some research on the width and it turns out they are almost as wide as a Testarossa at 1,962mm wide. TR is 1,976mm. Your 458 is 1,937mm wide, so there's almost nothing in it (25mm) which I find quite surprising really. The FF is 1,953mm so hardly any slimmer. For reference the M5 is 1,891mm and my Range Rover is 1,923mm. I've struggled with some city centre parking bays in the FFRR so I think the 599 would be even more challenging due to the visibility and probably the door length but a) I'm unlikely to be squeezing it into packed multi-storey city centre car parks and b) it is possible if I wanted to...
I need to go and actually drive one, even for 2-3 minutes to know for sure. Some cars really shrink around you and if the FF does but the 599 doesn't then that'd push me toward the FF even more. Of course both might feel too big to exploit on the roads and then I'm stuck![]()
