Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Was driving, so sadly didn’t get a photo, but I saw a Delorean today. Never seen one in the flesh before.

Local guy in my classic car club has one and takes it to local shows. He happy to let people sit in the drivers seat and get photos taken

Thats got more to do with what gear you're in thought surely:confused:, although I guess it's not got many (3 or 4?).
i run mine in auto Sport+, the AMG is very noisy when you floor it, but this weekend i floored it out on the main roads towards Christchurch, but slowly around here.

i don't know how many gears that Yank Chevelle has, but it has a lumpy cam and it looks like Tunnel Ram, so once it hooks up and flies it'll be hard to control.

Good to see you there yesterday :)

Some very fine machinery on display indeed and some pretty unusual stuff as well. Absolutely worth the hefty admission fee!

One thing that really struck me at Salon Prive and other events this year, the amount of Pistas. Dozens of them and I've only seen one Speciale all year, an LHD Aperta at that. Also never see a Challenge Stradale / Scud really. That Orange Pista is owned by a chap near me, have met up with him a few times as part of SCC. Also owns a GT3, Perf, DBS, AM GT12 and ofcourse a GR Yaris ;).

4C looks so small next to supercars!

What did you pay out of interest? Think we might of got good rates due to our group knowing the Duke, was like £30 each for us which seemed very fair, it is a shame they were not allowing anyone run the hill climb though, would have been great fun to blast down it. The 765LT I think did one of the best runs, literally had the tyres spinning down the entire straight. :D

Good seeing you and great to catch up. :)

Yes that guy literally has my dream garage, his Pista is near damn perfect, only one issue, no seatbelts, it is the one Tiff drove on Lovecars along with some of his other cars, I like his choice in colours.

It is why I've been trying to find a Speciale as I think 250k spent now will be worth 500-1M in ten years, so a good buy, but think I missed my opportunity, the time to buy was six months ago. But will keep looking one might come up but yes you hardly see them unfortunately any more as most are now forming parts of collections.

Pista's are a major issue at all dealerships, most of them have 4-6 cars on stock, only ever 1-2 advertised but plenty in the store room as to speak, but one thing I do love about the Pista is the re-sale red vibe seems to be somewhat going away, the colour variation on the Pista is incredible and simply goes to prove that Ferrari generally look awesome in any colour, the Rosso Dino and the orange of that Pista are probably my favourite colours along with triple yellow. 360 Challenge Stradele I think are rarer than Speciale and absolutely collectors cars now, so likely to never see one on the road, 430 Scuds are still quite common but give it another year or two and I can see those been a rare sighting.

Most supercar owners seem to now own a GR lol, but its such a good little car so why not. :)

I paid £97 for the two of us (which included access to the palace itself). I declined the £650 lunch fee :D

Not sure if ours were discounted or not, was £60 for us both, so thought it was fair and worth the money, only let down is I was expecting Lotus to be there as I have still not seen an Emira in the flesh and was really hoping to see one and sit in one.

Likewise, apparently they were there every other day but left Saturday night? Weird. Also a bit worrying the Artura didn't move all day (Elva/LT did) and they wouldn't let anyone open the doors....

Standard price on the website was £45/head, so I think yours were discounted.

My only disappointment was the lack of MC20, unless I missed it?

Instead of posting images of this, might as well post Harry's video:

Was certainly a unique thing to look at.
Based on a 488 GTB / F8 Tributo.

This could be a good price on a 599 to give you an idea of what they can go for if you get lucky with timing:

Cheers, good spot. Need at least one property transaction to unstick itself before I could even think of this, realistically I'm not buying this year or early next but it is good to keep a close eye on the market.

I did some research on the width and it turns out they are almost as wide as a Testarossa at 1,962mm wide. TR is 1,976mm. Your 458 is 1,937mm wide, so there's almost nothing in it (25mm) which I find quite surprising really. The FF is 1,953mm so hardly any slimmer. For reference the M5 is 1,891mm and my Range Rover is 1,923mm. I've struggled with some city centre parking bays in the FFRR so I think the 599 would be even more challenging due to the visibility and probably the door length but a) I'm unlikely to be squeezing it into packed multi-storey city centre car parks and b) it is possible if I wanted to...

I need to go and actually drive one, even for 2-3 minutes to know for sure. Some cars really shrink around you and if the FF does but the 599 doesn't then that'd push me toward the FF even more. Of course both might feel too big to exploit on the roads and then I'm stuck :D

Never had any issues with the 458 but it’s mid engine so visibility is a big improvement over a front engine car.

As you say best thing you can do is go test drive one and see how it feels. :)
