Yeah I need to play around with the UI elements, very bright and very large currently - will jump back on after lunch and try get something preferable.

Hopefully the game has a test range like BF4 did, was great for dialling in settings like that.

If this was already mentioned please ignore/delete!

For those having issues with shooting - In your Users folder, go to (your name) > Documents and BF Open Beta and delete settings folder then in game unbined the control pad (third box) settings so just keep mouse and keyboard.

This worked for me and a few mates with not being able to shoot, or change mouse/keyboard controls.

I hate hate hate hate hate the specialists... Think it's such a stupid idea...I thought they were going to be hero's like in battlefront but nope...we could have like 60 guys call wikus running around ..

Anywho... I had terrible stuttering with overclocked 3090, so put back to stock and all was fine. Getting 100fps on 3440x1440p with a 5900x

What's going on with them? Are they going to be behind a pay wall? Do they get equipment i can't get in the bog standard version or are they just skins?

Theres a bonkers amount of weapons and possible loadout configurations in this, its going to take me quite some time to decide upon the best loadouts/classes/attachments for me.

Thanks for that mate. Keypad people - delete the controller inputs

Why is the internal cockpit\screen of the littlebird so ******* dark? Seeing people on the ground in some sections of the map is virtually impossible. You just see tracers and spam rockets hoping you come close to hitting them.

Also moving forward seems to be linked to gaining altitude for some reason.

im in the same boat but with a 970 :p i just downloaded the beta and waiting until the 8th when its open to everyone to test it out
really need an upgrade but no way im paying current prices so i might have to miss this one for a while until things settle down

I'm the same. If I can run it on my 1060 at med/low settings and it looks any way decent, I'd be happy. The price of computer kit atm, if you can get it, just seems through the roof.

Whilst it'll probably need a fairly powerful PC, I wouldn't go too much on how a beta performs. I remember the BF4 beta and everyone rushing out to buy i7's as it ran better. When the game was released it ran fine on i5's.

Just whack everything on low and get your fps up and experience the gameplay as that's what a shooter is about, as and when the game is optimized etc and fully released - I'd inform yourself then whether you want to upgrade or not.

If you use EA play for £3.99 for a month you don't have to wait until the 8th.

My 20p on performance and bugs - That's all I've looked at so far.

Could do with more performance, it's not terrible maxed out, fraps shows an average of 76FPS over 3 games, I am running a 3090 @ 3840*1600. So most people will probably be running lesser cards at a lesser res though.

GPU usage is odd in certain areas, mostly its around 95% but some areas use a little over 80%.

CPU it's good, not to demanding at my res at least, 8700K @ 5.0g on all cores averages around 60% usage with spikes of 85% in smoke and storms.

Bugs - I've only noticed one so far and the "kill" cross hire gets stuck on until you next respawn which is a little annoying.
Audio still seems a bit muddy to me as well.
Revive is a bit broken

It's very early days and I gotta say I prepared myself for much worse, performance will naturally increase over time with patches and drivers, and the bugs are minimal even at this time.

3080 @ 4k and just changing resolution with standard high settings- a solid 75 fps. Turn off post processing/after effects and HBAO off getting 95fps.

As someone who spent 1000's of hours in BF2, MOds, BF3 & 4, this is much more like it. HAted BF1 and 5 - awful. Back to modern warfare settings.
Not sure about the mass ability to grapple diagonally up 50/100M - looks a bit unrealistic, need to limit the height more. Sliding added to yet another game but prefer that to the grappling ability.

Looks good.

Infantry seem to be concentrated around capture points. Vehicles in the open outfeild and aircraft bashing each other high up. Though the sounds are often missing or quiet from aircraft when you are infantry on the ground.

Hit reg being decent is the main thing but I turn off crossplay and console autoaim/snap to advantage.

Hopefullty some hardcore versions with no minimap and spotting dribble.

But overall impressed. I got a few big frame drops/stutter but definitely playable. Will have a good bash with mates tonight hopefully - if the servers aren't over subscribed.
