I'd like to know what it's going to take in order for people to stop with the stupid pre-ordering of games and simply wait to buy or, in this case, not buy a game. Because you damn well know that even though this game is a complete ******* abortion the same idiots will be gleefully lining up to ***** money up the wall to pre-order the next instalment.

Preordering in of itself isnt an evil thing but it has to be taken contextually on a per game basis, if there is any doubt or concern over a title then do not preorder. Sometimes though preordering is fine, for example, I preordered Pathfinder 2 because I so enjoyed Pathfinder 1, my suspicion was that Pathfinder 2 would turn out to be my game of the year 2021. I preordered the game and it has indeed turned out to be my game of the year 2021. On the flip side of that, I preordered Cyberpunk 2077 and played it for about 5 hours before binning it, so Pathfinder 2 proves that preorder doesnt automatically mean the game will be bad but as I say, if there is even the slightest suspicion the game might have issues then everyone should hold off preordering the title in question.

Well...

This game is an absolute ****ing abortion.

A soul-less, sterile, cartoonish, infantile, amateurish shambles. A huge step backwards for Battlefield and probably the AAA gaming industry. I do wonder if the franchise can survive much more of this?

I hate to say it, but I think it's unfixable. You can't fix the "feel" of a game if the basic underlying bones are fundamentally broken. It does not feel like a BF game. It has no unique selling point, no atmosphere, no character.

The maps are terrible, boxy, vacant. The specialist crap is just nonsense. The gun play is lame. The animations are a joke, the clipping is dreadful and the sound is appalling. The UI and graphic design is weak and the whole No-Pat premise is just stupid. There's nothing to it. No imagination, no immersion. Just a vacuous, poorly executed cash-in. Everything about it screams half-baked, disjointed, poorly managed project. As someone already said, ocean wide, puddle deep.

The people who worked on this will have poured blood sweat and tears into it, but they either weren't the right team, or weren't led properly. It's a real shame and I feel for them, but it's just fundamentally a bad product that doesn't do any one thing particularly well, and does a lot of things very badly. I can't be bothered waiting to see if it gets any better, because it can't get better enough to warrant my time, which is precious to me.

On positive note - the performance for me is fine - 1070 Ryzen 1600X and it's perfectly acceptable at High, 1080p; however this is hardly surprising as the graphics are a step back from even BF1

3/10. Less No-Pat, more Cow-Pat.

I really wanted this to be good. I really did. I'm 38 and I've faithfully bought and played to death every BF game since BF2 (except Hardline). My gaming time is precious to me, but I'm running out of reasons to take it. The peak for me was the BF2-BC2-BF3 era, and BF has slowly degenerated since then. It has still been pretty enjoyable, even through BFV, but wow..... This release is a such a massive drop in quality. There were clearly some absolute geniuses in the DICE team in the early 00s. **** knows what this lot have been doing.

50 Euros wasted. Oh well, back to Days Gone on the PS4, which after a tough start has turned out to be a slow burn masterpiece.

Sheep, metacritic scores, steam whatever, sheep get satisfaction from following other sheep - going with the flow with no substance or opinion from themselves.

I'm not saying this is a 9/10 game, I have plenty of complaints myself. But 2.4 or whatever out of 10 get yourself a voice, stop copying and pasting, use some personal opinion it's not cool to be a lemming.

It used to be the case of wait for the user review scores you can't go off critics, now it's the other way round with all this review bombing - critic scores are closer to the truth.

What? This game is dreadful. The bad reviews are warranted. And not only is it dreadful, it is horrifically overpriced for what it is.

I'm curious... Who's copy/pasting here? The last I looked everyone is complaining about the exact same problems they're all encountering.

Exactly, no difference in opinion, no 5/10's or maybe 6/10's. I'm betting people are reviewing other people's reviews

Well what else can they complain about when there are major hit registration problems, really strong vehicles, vehicles not exploding, lag, performance issues, glitches and whatnot. It's not personal issues.

Good to see the shills finally speaking out about the **** show of this, laughable people trying to defend it too, give it another few weeks and soon we'll see the posts about how "the honeymoon period is over" ;) :p :D Nice to see rival xfactor calling out all the shills too

I reckon this is it for the BF franchise, at least for a good few years, wouldn't be surprised if EA let dice go and tbh, it will be for the best.
