Lol Toto. Destroying headphones
You don't slow down to let someone by while on the racing line. That is a guarantee that the car behind you will hit you, and Max knows that. Every other driver would have moved off the racing line to let the overtaking car past, lifting the throttle slightly if necessary, and then slotted in behind, but somehow golden boy Max doesn't know how to do that.
I'm more excited to see how the FIA decide to dish out a penalty later![]()
Why is Max going to batter some women?
Verstappen was slowing down in the middle of the bloody track...
Didn't he say yesterday that if Lewis wins, he'll have the number 44 tattooed on his leg?Paul Di Resta - his Red Bull sponsorship must pay well.![]()
I think this is a much better way, but I believe in WEC the stewards report directly to the race director. In F1 they are more autonomous - which is why we have the **** show situation we do now.The way endurance racing is ran seems like a cleaner approach for stuff like driver infractions (eg car 44 and 33 must swap positions in turn xx/marshal post xx next lap - gaining unfair advantage)
Observe how everyone else gives a place back, you blend out, it was 200mphLooking at the replays of Lewis running into the back of Max doesn't seem Max did too much wrong in slowing to let Lewis passed. Just seems Lewis misunderstood. There's loads of space when you see it from the overheads. Lewis hesitates because his team hasn't told him what's going on. I don't believe there is anything in the rules where Max has to get off line to Lewis past, he just has to give the place back.
Lewis probably didn't want to pass due to DRS. Which we've seen on some overtakes before.

If I was driving behind Max and he slowed down unexpectedly, without any other information, I wouldn't try and pass due to fear of being smashed off at the next corner.
While the top view looks like it, check the cockpit replay and that space does not look enough coming in at 300kph. And Max moves towards the left right towards the end. Not to mention there is no explanation why he bolted after if he was going to give the place back (for the next couple of laps).Looking at the replays of Lewis running into the back of Max doesn't seem Max did too much wrong in slowing to let Lewis passed. Pretty much bang on the racing line wasn't he? You'd expect someone giving up a place to move to the side.Verstappen was slowing down in the middle of the bloody track...
