Happens on both 'standard' and 'adaptive' when set to natural and WQHD+


Interestingly when set to 'standard' the pixel distortion is small (width) and higher up on the display above the clock.

If you do a really quick tap of the screen not distortion appears, but if you press for like 0.5s or longer it happens.

Definitely doesn't happen in vivid or at other resolutions.

Just factory reset mine and still get it.
 
Given how widespread that it its probably a software glitch.

You would not expect a hardware issue to be so repetitive and appear in the same place every time

They def have changed the trade in pricing for exclusive colours, and now new orders have to wait 7 weeks instead of 4!

It may be for some but mine specifically had trade in paperwork, bag and royal mail sticker.
My phone return DPD label was also in there.
 
I only use mine at FHD+ and WQHD kills the battery so not seen any issues.

Also use Nova launcher, limited use but mines running brilliantly.
 
Visually what does it look like in FHD? Previously on phones offering the option (S8+) I used FHD+ as I could not tell much diff other than a small saving in battery life but the S8 series was well documented with poor battery longevity anyway.

Same here. And I see that we have to pay 8 quid to return with more than 100 quid worth of insurance, which is a touch annoying.

Anyone tried out the camera yet, especially with moving objects? I've not opened mine yet.

I saw this on a YouTube comment. Not sure if this gives hope of being able to solve the shutter lag issue with a workaround?

"I have tested the S22 ultra camera, and compared to my note 10 plus the RAW photos look pretty much the same with the 1x zoom, but you can now set the phone to shutter priority, which means that you can achieve a kind of "sports mode" by setting the shutter speed to 1/180 for example and the ISO adjusts itself. So far I've seen no reviewer talk about that but it's kind of a must-have if you take pictures indoors (so a lot of the time for me). On my Note 10 plus it's not possible to have auto ISO with a fixed shutter speed. But anyway in low light the 2 phones seem to output the same raw image, with the same amount of noise, but I didn't test the expert raw app, which outputs 16 bit raw, I doubt it will make a big difference when there is some noise in the picture however."
 
Been playing about in both modes since the morning, haven't noticed anything buggy yet.

Pain in the arse signing into all these apps with 2FA!

The camera is RIDICULOUS (compared to the S20) just casually zoomed into a car number plate 200m + away!

Grats!

Makes sense. Different devices likely having different consignment rules, and they would have been created separately anyway. Also depending on the time you ordered, they probably batched it differently.
 
They are offering £190 for the S20 5G now trade in, that's even lower than the other day when I checked and it was £290 odd vs the £440 I got for it when pre orders went live :D

That's a massive drop in trade in value!
 
Sounds like the phone has been quite successful for Samsung on the pre-order front and they have had to tweak the budgets as everyone is sending in the old crap on the boosted rates :D
