Russian Army is 1.5 million soldiers.

With 100,000 in Ukraine, plenty left protecting rest of Russia.

Doesn't work like that, most of their units that could actually be used for combat are in Ukraine. Sure there are some badly equipped conscripts and reservists with access to a rifle and a uniform in other parts of Russia but that's kinda moot. Granted no one is planning to invade, they're more friendly with China these days thus have felt confident moving various army units from the east of the country in order to facilitate this invasion.

Still getting reports that it hasn't though lol Big big loss though if they've lost the battle those airborne vdv units were some of Putins best

Second strike is going to come as well per UA MoD, I don't think the Russians will pull any punches this wave and will go all out with the gloves off

Yeah, no doubt Russia will try to retake it again.

Without the authorization of the Ukraine airforce, we could hand if off at the boarder if we had to.

But I don't think ukraine has an active airforce right now.

The reason western.planes won't enter ukraine airspace is that a, they might get shot down by Russians, b, putin might say it is western interference directly in the conflict.

Like I said before, the Russias appears to be over extended, spread too thin, some early wins but no prospect of getting much needed supplies nor reinforcements in.

Logistics are a major part of war, the inability to deliver is a major sign of underinvestment and lack of capability.
Logistics are potentially one of the biggest issues the Russians will face, if they're having to move supplies in over long distances it very quickly takes up much of your available manpower and equipment just to protect them until they reach the front lines, and I suspect Russia doesn't have the airlift to do it, especially if there are a lot of man portable AA devices around as the helicopters and the like may be relatively safe at height, but when they go to land they become very vulnerable to one or two people on their own with a couple of missiles.

You can blitz into a country and take major towns potentially fairly fast, holding them tends to take much more, especially if the local forces have weapons that can take out supply vehicles or troop transports.

IIRC they had that issue in Afghanistan in the 80's, and we had it to a degree in Afghanistan and Iraq, despite the fact that the likes of the Taliban didn't have modern anti aircraft/armour portable missiles.

Biden was asked if he was considering sanctioning Putin personally, he replied that it's on the table. How would that work? I assume Putin's money is tied up in the wealth of Russia isn't it?

If that's true the I wonder if they took any prisoners or if the Russian's just fled? If they took prisoners there going to be paraded in front of the cameras tomorrow.

I'm not sure - not officially anyway. Think that's a breach of the Geneva convention. Although has Russia actually declared war? They've got that BS peacekeeping nonsense as a pretext

Are there not drones that can do massive cargo drops from a decent altitude?
I don't think so.
Supplies dropped from aircraft tend to fall all over the place, and the higher you drop them from the worse the spread (hence airdrops are often done at fairly low altitude), and AFAIK there are no heavy drones capable of dropping supplies, about the biggest ones are the likes of the Preditors that are designed to monitor an area, and potentially fire a few hundred kilos of munitions at a target.
