Vietnam had jungles that gave them an advantage, in Afghan they had mountainous regions that were hard to control and they kicked back in Pakistan till America left, Chechnya also has mountainous regions that helped the defenders

Once again what advantage does Kyiv have to balance the odds? Since this conversation was about arming the population of Kyiv to fight back.

You didn't even believe insurgencies are possible outside of star wars a few posts back... now you're making up requirements that a successful insurgency must have mountains etc.. Ukraine does actually have some mountains btw... and forests.

The important thing though is the support of the civilian population. Where were the mountains and jungles when ISIS swept through parts of Iraq and Syria?

Looks like Neo has arrived in Ukraine, and he's packing heat...

Fortunately he survived.

Yes, all the way back in the mid 90s, when I was still using a 56k modem. It's not something you forget. Most people who look for it today will only find the 15 second edit. I saw the original 5 minute clip.

Noob. I watched the full 15-17 minute clip back in the day. urrrgh.. j/k. I saw literally a few seconds and turned it off. The full clip is out there and its around 15+ minutes. I DO NOT RECCOMEND WATCHING IT!!

Digging around a Putin has had a good 6 or 7 internal attempts at taking him. Not sure how serious they have been but all his food gets checked etc.

Holy thread paranoia batman.

I would have thought they'd have tried something more advanced than food poisoning. Perhaps some novichok on his toilet seat would be apt way for him to go.

Are you sure that's chechclear? There are a couple of other videos from the same conflict which are longer than chechclear, and I've seen those too. But from memory, I was pretty sure chechclear is only ~5 minutes. I could be wrong, it's been a long time.

What clip is this?

A video of Muslim Chechen rebels beheading a young Russian soldier with a knife. It's extremely explicit.

I didn't say that. You just made that up.

I said that they had an advantage that allowed them to fight against a superior force. If Kyiv is situated on a mountain or in a dense Jungle or something else that gives them a strategic advantage then just maybe they might be able to hold back the Russian Army. I'm not aware of any of that existing and I don't intend on egging on people to go die from the comfort of my own home.

Is there a source/story to go with this?

Seems to be some confusion re: the remarks made:

Sure enough it's xe German who doesn't want to be associated with it!

He can count it as whatever he likes, he's interfering rather more than the US and UK are.

It's basically the same thing though. As soon as Putin retaliates to said NATO country it will be the whole of NATO involved.

Come on now you’ve taken this much effort to launch a personal assault don’t half step it.

You see I couldn’t get two monkeys how I’m perceived on an Internet forum by strangers.

Lets see what you’ve got. Man of your word we’re gonna find out now aren’t we. Hypocrisy runs deep in here.
You've got yourself so confused - I guess that's likely when you're completely insincere in everything you're posting.

What promise of mine do you feel I've broken in the way you've broken yours?

(By the way, it's not just strangers, is it? You're here. Do you feel no inclination to be true and sincere to yourself?)

I didn't say that. You just made that up.

Yeah it would be nice if rag tag rebel army fights back a larger force and wins but this isn't star wars this is the real world

True, modern armies always win insurgencies that's why Vietnam and Afghanistan were such great successes for the Americans, you seem to have a good grasp on history there...

Again with the mountains... you realise urban warfare can be rather difficult for attackers too - again I'll point out that support of the civilian population is what is fundamentally important in an insurgency, not whether or not whether there are mountains present.
