It's a slow skid into ww3 from here, you can sense it.

I dunno, Russia don't seem to have any allies in this, even their usual most vocal supporters and the like are silent, or indeed in China's case seemingly placing some economic restrictions on them as well.

I don't see Putin's position as tenuable when even the Russian military appear not to be totally onside with it.

Only any good if they expel Russia from Swift. They need to stop floundering and take some meaningful action that will kick Russia where it hurts.

Are you sure that's chechclear? There are a couple of other videos from the same conflict which are longer than chechclear, and I've seen those too. But from memory, I was pretty sure chechclear is only ~5 minutes. I could be wrong, it's been a long time.

Doesn't it just go to show why you shouldn't surrender especially to countries/groups that may not respect the various conventions on PoW.

Hopefully the SWIFT shutdown will freeze up the financial system in Russia. That should get Russians out onto the street and uprising.

Again with the mountains... you realise urban warfare can be rather difficult for attackers too - again I'll point out that support of the civilian population is what is fundamentally important in an insurgency, not whether or not whether there are mountains present.

I didn't say that "insurgencies are not possible outside of star wars" What I did say was their chance of victory is as real as star wars. Which to be fair wasn't true they can win if they have a strategic advantage, sometimes thats mountains and sometimes it isn't.

Urban warefare can be difficult if you care about preserving the buildings and avoiding civilian casualties. Something tells me Russia may not care too much.
Well we will know by tomorrow how much bloodshed has happened in Kyiv and I'm certain you will be happy to see Ukraines fighting to the death against the Russian's.

It will come to this eventually once the Soviet union is reformed. Only thing is if ww3 kicks off now Russia can be beat. Leave it till later and russia will be much stronger and can win.

More importantly NATO Secretary General sending strong message that one NATO country attacked they all are attacked, and NATO will defend every CM of NATO territory.

Also even a cyber attack onto any NATO ally country, will enact article 5,

It's more than beheading "A" Russian Soldier unless you're talking about another Chechen vid, the one I saw was of a Russian unit who were trapped, surrendered and then as well as beheaded were mocked and laughed at as they pleaded for their lives and their mothers with one only being fortunate to be killed by a bullet as he tried to escape after witnessing the massacre of his comrades. Still it's fairly tame these days compared to the likes of Funky Town or the Ghostrider footage or any of a multitude of Cartel videos that I insta avoid because although having morbid curiosity I have no interest in watching torture
