I don't agree with them going all out on their sanctions simply because Putin isn't doing the worse he can yet.
Putin is taking in troops on the ground which will give him a much higher casualty rate(a lot of forum members seem to be missing this point) rather than bombarding the place before hand (remember shock and awe?).
So it's best to hold something back so if he struggles with the ground operation and decides to bombard the place indiscriminately then there should be some consequences which we can apply.

It just reminds of the Bill Hicks skit about how the U.S public viewed George Bush Sr as a wimp President, which then caused him to go all demonic. Great skit by the way. Him and Carlin had great material, still relevant today perhaps even more so.

 
Macron is right, Putin had planned to get over wit this in maximum 72 hours. He skipped cities and rolled over the country side. If ukranians fortificate themselves in cities, and it looks they do, it will take Russia extra foot soldiers and months to clear them up. Worst case scenario for Russia.

Cluster munitions are not in the geneva treaty.

It is a seperate international treaty.

Also neither Russia nor Ukraine have signed the treaty banning cluster munitions.

That will simply harden Ukraine's resolve, turn Kyiv into a fortress and even more of his allies will turn against him.

I'm still hoping his own people will turn on him at some point, I would love to see him tried as a war criminal and handed over to Ukraine.

Crypto currencies will be a serious issue - they rely on RSA/asymmetric encryption and most of the super powers have the capability to break it. None of the systems use quantum encapsulation to safeguard key negotiation or quantum-safe hashing. As part of my last job I sold quantum cryptography and produced a PoC for quantum-safe blockchain.

There's also a requirement for financial systems to demonstrate they know where the source of money/assets come from. An anonymous NFT would not be bankable.
 
Russia not allowing media outlets to show footage from the war. This is turning into an embarrassment for Putin at home now.

Russia sending in cruise missiles, apparently. Some new footage of them targeting blocks of flats on civilian buildings. Reports are they where already evacuated anyway so no casualties.

Ukraine is an absolute mess right now, going to be a long time to clean up all this mess and it's only few days in.

You’re right it is in the CCM. However we can’t justify their use even slightly. They are very dangerous to civilian populations.
