The Iraq liberation started with shock and awe.
The Ukraine invasion started with light troops and zero bombardment.

Even still it is a crazy amount if confirmed. To think the British lost around 600 across both Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Americans lost around 6k but that was over a 20 year period!
Okay the Taliban are not the Ukraine army but is still scary to think about just how much loss has happened in the space of a few days. It must work out at a death every couple of minutes.

Perhaps there's an argument for SWIFT to be a block chain, specifically designed to ensure the source of the money is known and the path through which it has travelled is known?

A: The US didn't want to own Iraq after B: Putin believed he could just walk in and be treated as liberator, the US certainly didn't think that in Iraq.
Let's see how Russian tactics change now they've had a severe bloody nose on their first few attempts
russia cant now because ukraine would join with nato straight away.
Iraq - started with Iraq annexing Kuwait, a competitor for oil.
Ukraine - started with Russia annexing Ukraine a competitor for gas.

Well this thread went downhill quickly.
You can’t control everything some money may find it’s way to the “regime “ but I think largely people a denouncing Russia involvement. It’s about limiting casualties and further escalation into nuclear war.

Its war. A country is invading theirs. If a country invaded the UK don't you think most able bodied men and lots of women would pick up a gun if offered one to protect it. They have been drafted into the armed forces now. Its war and war is ugly. At least they're fighting for their country unlike the Afghan army.
