This is stupid because NATO won’t back down if Russia start waving nukes around. If they did Russia will just do whatever it wants. Give us Finland or we will drop nukes etc.

That is fairly chilling; not all that different to some of the suggestions before the USA bombed Japan though - some were convinced that dropping a nuke somewhere it could be seen but cause little damage would be enough to make Japan surrender.
 
Questionable Sun sources aside, it does sound like the nuclear threat is becoming a real concern now. More so than I thought it would.

While we aren't involved in the fighting directly, the amount of support being given to Ukraine could easily be viewed as an attack on Russia, and it probably will be by Putin.

Indeed. Waving nukes does nothing. Using nukes does nothing to change the opposition. What it does is escalate the response.

Also - just to say if you you're going to post random statements, please including the source as a link before everyone posts a load of "link?" single word posts.
